My Problems with Wheelspins and how they could improve

Okay, some of this will some dumb but I just have some things to say about them, first off getting the same EXACT car.Let’s say you bought a 97’ BMW M3 from the Autoshow, then you get a wheelspin after something in game, then the Wheelspin lands on the same M3 you own making it 2 of the same cars,so you can remove them from the Garage sure, but when it lands on a car you already have it should at least have an option to sell it.Next is Wheelspin Exclusive cars,Forza Editions are understandable though, but cars like an 05’ Honda NSX or 16’ Aventador should at least be purchasable in the Autoshow as these cars have a VERY slim chance of showing up in Wheelspins from my perspective and some other players.Like in Forza Motorsport 7 they did limit prize cars from Showcase Events and some other reward cars but an update made them purchasable but not the majority of Forza Editions (EXCEPT VIP Cars) to be purchasable in the Autoshow, which was understandable.I might be sounding like an idiot for saying that but is just something that came to mind.Finally,Clothing.Like sometimes you may get a duplicate from another forum post I saw but can’t remember it even when you have them you may get the same, and should be at least be like FM7 did for racing suits now, like a daily item shop. But some can be reward only like the league caps or grandmaster cap and some when you level up on any division.I may sound a bit spoiled and I feel like an idiot for posting this but I just have problems with them.

I get fed up getting the same garbage cars over & over again …ones that will not sell at the AH … I have lost count the number of Sprites/ Golf/ Civic /Jag MK II/ Deluxe coupe I have won … I would rather have to option to take 5kCR.

In FH3 you could immediately sell cars you won but didn’t want. I miss that.

I miss that also, not because i would need anymore credits but just because it would be mutch easier to get rid off those useless duplicates.

To opener, duplicate clothing is something that should not happend if that happend it’s then bug. And what comes in duplicate cars you start getting those only when you have certain % number of that rarity type car for example when i first time got common rarity duplicate car i have then allready over 80% of common cars (legend rarity cars works differently)

Yup agreed, not sure why they got rid of it when no one asked for its removal and yet we voiced many concerns with the AH (in H3) and yet that wasn’t fixed or improved upon.

My solution to wheelspins is to remove all wheelspin exclusives and nerf them back to how they were in older Forza games, increasing race payouts to make up the earning difference. In older Forza titles, wheelspins were an optional windfall with a low enough average payout to not really affect progression much and no exclusive items, and that was perfect. In FH4, they’ve inexplicably been made an integral part of the progression with boatloads of exclusive items and higher cash payouts at the expense of reduced race earnings.

All wheelspin exclusive cars should be added to the autoshow (except maybe FE cars), and all cosmetic items should be put in a cosmetic item shop, and duplicate vehicles can be sold for cash.

In other words, pretty much how wheelspins were in FH3. Or better yet, strip this gambling mechanic from the series entirely like FM7 did with removing lootboxes.

Yeah, true.I appreciate these replies.I just hope the next update would improve this…Like I said,Forza Editions can still be in wheelspins but not cars that can easily be bought in the Autoshow. But clothing should have it’s own separate in game shop that cycles a few hours or so in my opinion to not get a majority of clothing in wheelspins.Other than that I hope a dev sees it and fixes these problems with the wheelspins…not begging for one to see this but y’know.

In the first livestream after launch one of the devs pretty much put down everyone who was complaining about wheelspins with the excuse that they give more credits than they used to, so don’t complain. The devs are very aware of how the community feels about wheelspins, so it’s more an issue of getting through to someone with the power to override this mindset and push for change within the studio.

If they do anything I don’t expect to see it soon given how many other crises the devs are facing with all the bugs and the current crop of money glitches (although I wouldn’t complain at all if some changes for the better showed up in the next patch). Long term though, I really do hope they follow FM7’s example and pull this gambling stuff out of the game.

Edit: For anyone interested, here’s the relevant dev quote on the issue (from a senior game designer no less):

How many times does this exact same wishlist get posted

Not disagreeing with it but these exact same things have been suggested so many times since release and nothing has changed yet
