Make all cars earnable

It’s getting to me, the adrenaline when I see a wheelspin I want in a roll for a wheelspin or a auction house, only to be given a clothing item that literally no one cares about or someone else buys the thing.

I can’t do it no more it’s been like however many months on constant play on this game and still can’t get the thing I want no matter how hard I work of them.

Either these guys should make ALL cars esrnable though racing or race rewards or you put them in shops hell I’d even take a 50/50 ratio with cars in shops and cars earned by racing, and no Wheelspin exclusive cars do not cause as a earnable thing that’s RNG that’s destiny levels of low.

Please I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this way

It’s only been out about a month and a half. Give it time.

Get better at auction hunting. Never bid on anything you want until it’s in ‘Ending Soon’ state.

Wheelspins? Yeah, I agree. Too many clothes and emotes.

Hard to ‘get better’ when there’s nae Elise '05 or E63 for sale mate, sound reasoning you’ve got there though.

I agree with the making all cars earnable part, but from a different direction.

The garage limit is still 550, which means that anybody that wants to have multiples of certain cars that they like are going to have to make choices about what to keep and what not to keep. For me, I like to have a lot of multiples, so entire classes of cars are getting dismissed. For example, hot hatches are cars I don’t really like or need. I like to leave room to add maybe one that’s the best in class, but that’s it … and sometimes not even that.

But now we have unicorn 2018 Honda Civics. I don’t need Honda Civics but because it’s a unicorn-ish car, I’m put in a position to either keep a car that I think is trash, or get rid of a unicorn. That’s not a choice I like. And it’s not just the 2018 Civic. I have a smattering of trash cars in my garage just because they are rare.

This has been mentioned many times allready but garage space will increase in some point (forza staff have sayed that). And why you keep those rare cars on garage just because they are rare? And opener, well maybe not enough playining then when you still see clothes on wheelspins. And those wheelspin cars comes in auction house all the time, and i have notice lately that i have start get those wheelspin cars mutch more often when dont have any cosmetic stuff and i own every car.

This is happend to me too, i was duplicate e63 sitting on my garage when i was cleaning on my garage so i remove it and same or next day i read in here it’s wheelspin car, but for me that is not a big deal that would be there useless anyway.

It’s nice to hear that the garage limit may go up. Good news. It’s even nicer to hear the gamemakers acknowledging issues and complaints publicly. I think them speaking up, regardless of whether a single thing gets changed or not, is the best addition to the series. But talk of garage limit going up makes my strategy even more rational.

First, it does nothing to change my current situation. I have more than 200 driving hours and hit the garage limit long ago, and stopped seeing avatar stuff in spins long ago (thankfully). My garage is worth over 300 million and I’m way past where making decisions about what to remove are easy. I’ve removed over 500 cars. At least. Garage management dominates my gameplay. I’m Lucy on the assembly line in the chocolate factory and talk of hiring help weeks from now doesn’t change the situation at hand.

Secondly, if the garage limit is going up, that increases the likelihood that I’ll be able to own all the cars … and that’s the goal that all my actions stem from. I’d like a car for every situation. Every event, every seasonal event, every weekly forzathon challenge, every player I’m playing with that says:

“Let’s race such and such make and model in such and such class.”

The reason I get rid of rare cars last is that they are hard to impossible to replace on short notice. I can go get an autoshow car, build it and tune it, and be back in 5 minutes. But if it’s, say, a 911 GT3 PO, it might literally take weeks to get one. That goes for cars that show up in wheelspins, too. And if the garage limit is going up, keeping the rare cars eliminates the headache that is trying to buy unicorns in the AH.

That’s why I keep rare cars.

The headaches associated with unicorn cars are easy to list, but I’ve yet to hear a non-ridiculous explanation for what they add to the game over them just being in the autoshow. What they add to the game is a pain in the posterior and I don’t need that from a game, I have a job for that. It’s not even a good strategy to make car manufacturers happy. If they wanted to make Honda happy by featuring the 18 Civic, the better move would be to make it easily and readily available to everyone and the make it the subject of weekly forzathon challenge, for example. If I was Honda I’d prefer that to being associated with a pained undercarriage.

But if there’s a good reason for them, I’m all ears.

my problem is slightly different, there needs to be a icon over the car for the ones that are wheelspin only, I think I have gotten rid of one or two that I cant buy back just because I couldn’t tell it was unique

It’s a shame that much of the progress made in FM7 did not carry over to here.

We’ve got cosmetics, emotes and horns and other nonsense, there is no longer a need to have unicorn cars.

Please don’t make all cars earnable.

This game needs a “master roster” that lists every asset in game, if you own it, and how to acquire it; it’s awesome there’s so much content but it shouldn’t feel like a second job trying to keep track of it all.

You can kind of do this by setting up a blueprint and then when selecting what type of car group to use (classic rally, anything goes, etc.), go to the far right by pressing RB and it will have a custom setting for the car type. It lists every car in the game and then some (3 McLaren Sennas…) and it tells you if you own them or not.

@abell370 one solution to your problem is to save multiple tunes for each vehicle. although I don’t know what the cap is for that either. it might help a little and allow you to own every car in the game, then if someone wants to race X car in Y class just load up the tune for it and go.

Definite +1 for this. Why are so many cars hidden behind loot crates - sorry, ‘wheelspins’? It’s really poor form and you guys should know better.

I’m on level 210 now I think and I’ve noticed I’m getting a lot less horns emote etc and more credit and car rewards. I find it much more exciting when I get these cars through wheelspins or working hard on auction house to find them

I enjoy the wheelspins. The frustration when you don’t get what you want to pure joy when you get 250k + Forza edition lambo + cop horn

Wish I could get one of those, I hate the wheelspins, all i get is shorts, horn and dance every single time! Straight trash

You must be unlucky
I got 3 or 4 FE cars within my first 10 wheelspins
If you play enough the amount of rubbish in the spins decreases and then you get heaps of duplicate unsellable cars instead

I agree that all cars (and character customization items as well) should be obtainable via guaranteed methods (credits, in-game challenges) and not locked behind wheelspins (which are simply the awful loot crates by a different name) or time-limited events (including rotating inventory). The current system is just bad game design that seems more geared to padding game time than actually adding anything of value to the experience.

Also, it’s just insane that the garage limit is so low with how many cars there are in the game. I’ve found that auctioned cars don’t count against the garage limit, so I don’t have to actually remove duplicate cars. I can simply put them up for auction and either get credits for them or free storage that doesn’t count against the garage limit if they don’t sell. Although I really would have preferred what FH3 did with letting me sell duplicate cars from wheelspins so I don’t have to deal with this problem in the first place.

Disagree. I enjoy getting rewarded via wheelspins for playing the game a lot. You get so many wheelspins for so little effort and in the grand scheme of things I find myself getting as many cars and credits as the previous title due to getting more spins. If you don’t want grind xp for wheelspins? Cool, buy them on the auction house. I’ve scored many (and I mean many) Aventador SV’s, Foxbody’s, 911 PO’s and the like. They pop up a lot more often than people think they do.

So there are quite a few people who have been conditioned to be addicted to the dopamine rush that comes with winning a prize on a wheelspin.

Forza used to be about cars, not a lite poker machine simulation.
