MY FORZA HORIZON 2 (XBOX ONE IS BROKE) READ AND HELP PLEASE!??

basically. a few days ago i joined an online road trip with a mate, i was just about to start a race with him when he said that i must of ‘lagged out’ when actually my car was just floating in the air (with no actual map around it) this genuinley looked like i was under the map so to speak, so i then did as most people may have done, restarted my xbox and hopefully it would of just taken me back to offline and i would be driving around! however that was not the case, my car still appeared to be floating and with no map around it. I then clicked on the world map and i have put two and two together and must be somewhere i have not unlocked yet. does anyone know how i can maybe even just restart my progress on the game? or think of another way to help me? thanks forum!

You say this happened a few days ago. Have you tried going online since to see if the issue has been resolved?

nothing has changed, i would actually wipe all my progress just to get back to the start, however i dont know how to do that,

i have yes! whatever i do it shows me just literally in the middle of no where ( as if under the map) cant even move, like i am floating! it is bizzare and i just want to get it back to how it was…

To restart progress, go to your storage settings, and delete all for forza horizon 2, this will remove everything you have for the game, I think. But if your willing to, try this, hope this helped, hope this worked, I haven’t done this since the 360 days.

Before you even consider doing this, have you attempted a complete console shutdown to clear your temporary memory cache? I see you mention you’ve restarted your console, but that is not the same as performing a cold reboot. To do this, hold down the console’s power button (not the controller’s) until the Xbox One turns off completely. Then, turn back on and restart Horizon 2 to see if the issue has been resolved.

No! This will delete the game too. You can delete your save file from everywhere (local + cloud) by itself. You can try that. Or you can try starting a new game under a different profile. I highly recommend a 2nd profile, particularly in this new console generation that wrenched all control of save files away from the user. That would allow you to see if the problem is just game-progress related, or if there’s something seriously wrong with the game image itself (or even the system). You can create a free 2nd profile without much difficulty. You will need a 2nd email address, and those can be had for free from several sites as well.

Since I’ve disabled the auto resume feature I’ve had way less issues like these. You may want to do the same. Definitely try Shadow’s suggestion before deleting your progress.

Have you tried Fast Travelling to another location? (I’m sure the full shut-down/restart will likely fix the issue, though.)

Have you tried actually closing the game and reopen it. It’s funny how people come on here asking for help and have no idea how to use there xbox.

He already did that…

Hi shiels888,

Do you think you’d be able to record a clip of this happening with Xbox One game DVR so we can take a look?

Just let us know in the thread when you’ve made the clip.

This happened to me a few days ago, at the top of the map above the airport.

Mine was simply fixed by going onto the map and fast traveling to the Horizon Hub. Since then I’ve not had the issue again.

Here’s the clips:
