How Can I Play Multiplayer Cause It Won’t Let Me Play & It Doesn’t Work
Same here. I mostly play in multiplayer drag rooms and it keeps saying failed to connect. Also noticed it was real slow yesterday to get in a lobby.
Ever since the update it is taking way longer to get in lobbies and it still says “failed to reach conenction” or whatever it says.
Luck is usually what gets me in multiplayer.
Strange, ive had no problem since day 1 getting in a lobby…Never any fail notices etc…
How are 10% of ppl having no problems at all racing online the other 90% and my self havent been able since day 1. Iv try about evry trick out there even force open NAT and port forwrding for live and forza games ect… still nothing!!! What do they have that lets them in
I’ve been playing online with no problems since day 1 (well pre-release with ultimate) but have had no end of problems playing online the last week since the 99MB update. If I do manage to get into a lobby then I get a ‘weak network connection’ during the race and seem to be in a lobby full of people from US rather than the UK, the vast majority of the time it fails to get in with ‘failed to acquire server data’.
Very frustrating!
I’ve had a few issues but usually can get online without issue. I have been disconnected a few times from my own private lobby and then unable to launch multiplayer or got a message that the hoppers could not be connected. I do not know if it may be related or not but I had no issues before the first patch and have no issues with any other game, Xbox, PS or PC. Router and network connection are both fast and solid.
Played last night.
Took 5 or 6 attempts to get in a lobby. When playing was on week internet connection.
When I first got FM6 a few days after release, I was able to play online with no lag or stuttering. I did, however, have stuttering in the chat. Other users would come through choppy and I didn’t even try to talk myself. In the past week or so, when I try to play online I usually get “weak network connection,” but regardless of if that comes up or not, the game is super laggy and stuttery and I have a hard time controlling the car. Even when I can manage to control the car, when it lags out I fall behind in the race. It’s basically unplayable. I have tried setting my router to UPNP as well as static port forwarding of all of the xbox live ports. The result is the same either way. All network tests on XBOX One come back green/perfect and it says I am running an Open NAT. My download is 15mb/s and my upload is 2mb/s - pretty average by today’s standards, but plenty for multiplayer gaming. My latency comes up as 11ms - yes, only 11ms. I’m only a few miles from Microsoft and Turn 10. I even fired up Forza 5 a few minutes ago to see if it really was a problem on my side, but no, there is zero lag on Forza 5 and I can even chat without issue. There is something seriously wrong with the Forza 6 network and/or network code and it needs to be fixed.
I have successfully had one multiplayer race in two weeks. I had better luck doing multiplayer in Forza 5 on DSL in Thailand than I have with Forza 6 on Comcast in the US. I get everything from failed connections to getting bounced while in the lobby. All of the settings are right and this stuff happens even when other people aren’t sucking up bandwidth in my apartment. So, I’m basically stuck with Achievement hunting and rivals.
So, yeah, multiplayer is totally broken for me.
Are you using the technicolor 2 in 1 router? If so I’m going to say that it is the problem. I have comcast also and about 6-12 months ago(I think) a firmware update turned it into a brick for forza games, I was getting the same problems you are describing but in FM5. I fixed it by getting a non combo modem and my own router.
Yeah Ive not had a problem since early release getting online.Never had any cant join pop ups etc… Idk what causes the problems for others aside from obvious-internet quality…
