I’ve changed the title of the thread to also cover off P class next week (as I suspect that will generate relatively limited interest and there aren’t too many car options). Of course, if someone does want to create a separate P class thread please do feel free to do so.
Chiron was quite fun for Le Mans but sadly the sport tyres were absolutely destroyed by mid way around the last lap. Oddly, I lost 10 seconds to the Veyron on the last lap, so either that looks after it’s tyres a bit better (both have sports as stock) or they looked after them a lot better than me. I think this can do about 3.35 but I got delayed on the first two laps and tyres were already going off on the third:
Absolutely pointless to race against F1 GT and 911 GT1 in something else:
He was on streets, thus didn’t even lose pace towards the end.
3 seconds/lap on my streets Zonda.
that dude drives the 911 only in every lobby
52s in the GMA on Sebring, I think that’s (almost) F1 GT and 911 pace. medium tire wear on last turn.
It’s so annoying isn’t it? Ruins the series.
Off topic but I’ve been racing some of the other events this weekend as well as the Mid Engine R class.
One thing is puzzling me. In the VW Golf GTi spec race at eagle rock oval I was sooo slow, as in dead last. Anyone know how others can lap 1.5 second faster? As far as I can see it is 1 gear (4th) for the whole race. I use a wheel so was able to be super smooth. Only tuning option is tyre pressures, everything else greyed out.
Just watched this, as he streams on YouTube. Sport tyres and he loses a bit on the last lap (57.7) but obviously not enough to matter when his peak pace is three seconds faster. Decent driver but yeah seems to use that car for every race.
This V10-swapped McLaren F1 GT on wide sport tires has brought me nothing but wins so far in these medium-length R-class mid-engine production lobbies.
It’s nice to drive, too.
I get the “minor tire wear” pop-up warning near the start of the last lap with very little time lost, so there’s no need to pit.
Thanks for sharing.
I threw together an engine-swapped centrifugal-supercharged 911 GT1 on sport tires to find out why it’s so popular, and it was a winner for me too, but I also noticed 2 things:
• more people quit the lobbies I was in
• more people dive-bombed me
…I guess maybe the car’s reputation precedes it.
A decent Sports Valkyrie Tune would be appreciated ;>
looks like this series is bugged… you can only pick the Raesr TS
Be interesting to see if they fix that. Can’t say I have too much interest in a Raesr event.
If this does get fixed, what would the options be which can run sport tyres somewhere near 998? Would the Valkyrie be the only realistic option anyway?
If anyone is running the Raesr event, I’d suggest going with the race tyres. Sports won’t last anyway and hards-mediums seemed to work well at Barcelona.
I have been running the S7 LM in P class. Just me and my twin turbo V8 vs a bunch of ecars. Would have had an easy podium at Nurburgring GP had I not borked a corner and spun and ruined my race.
I don’t expect T10 to fix P class sadly but I have been playing around with a sport tyres Valkyrie just in case we get a hot fix. So far 1.44.4 at Silverstone. Feels very fun to drive, if anyone wants to see if they can beat that. Happy to share the (fairly basic) tune if anyone wants to try it.
I haven’t yet tried this P-class mid-engine playlist.
Have you found a viable no-pit car/build?
It’s broken so you can only currently use the Raesr and Saleen LM. The Raesr seems to require a pitstop on sports or race tyres. The Saleen can last on streets but I haven’t tried it.
Just to note that this is now fixed, so all P class mid engine cars can be used (with 4.0x tyre wear).
Glad they fixed it even though it’s almost too late. Had a quick run in the Valkyrie. Worst tire was at 47% by the end of the race. (stock tires)
Rears at 55% on last turn
Enjoyable “mid engine” series overall. I ran a few races in the Valkyrie for P class and there didn’t really seem to be anything to compete with it. The Nio was possibly the second best option.
For both the Rimac and the Nio, the fuel prediction was always 0 laps when trying to set it before the race. Is this the case with all electric cars and is it a bug or intentional for some reason?
