My lap times aren’t impressive, but it’s been fast enough to podium against the random opponents I’ve had so far.
I’m sure a Zonda engine swap does great too, especially if it alters the torque curve and helps with the wheelspin - I just haven’t tried it yet.
The fastest cars I’ve gone up against so far in lobbies are the McLaren Senna and the GMA T.50.
I think the Senna comes with sport tires (no option to install street tires), and I’m not sure how long they last. I might try it soon.
Won an 8-lap dry daytime race at Silverstone GP without pitting in an R-900 2018 McLaren Senna on the car’s stock/sport tires.
With 6x tire wear, I got the “moderate tire wear” pop-up warning near the middle of lap 6, and the “severe tire wear” pop-up warning near the middle of lap 8.
Tire wear was costing me a lot of time in laps 6-8, but I had a big enough lead by that point that I didn’t need to worry about being passed.

I was hoping for some sort of surprise car to be found, but nope these 3 are just untouchable. I had a lot of fun with the GMA though. Never used it before and it was great testing different builds for it.
The question is, what remains for P Class if you take the Formula 1 and GTP/C cars out of the equation. The Jesko?
I’m a good bit faster in the GMA T.50, even with its stock engine.
Its stock/street tires easily last the entire race with no need to pit.
It’s also easier for me to drive than both the Zonda & the Senna.

I’ve shared a Senna - can post the stats if easier. Ran 1.56.9 in rivals and won at Barca fairly easily in a race (1.40.7 best lap - tyre wear was only a minor problem on the last lap - dropped two seconds to usual pace). It’s not as fast as the meta but feels a pretty solid drive.
(Since I can’t figure out how to quote post on mobile) P class to what I’m aware of only sport tire 998PI cars would be Valkyrie and (my personal choice) Radical RXC. The NIO comes on sports by default and gets to 990s but is still heavy.
Ok, Silverstone eats tyres on the Senna. Tyres were nearly 80% worn by the end and lost 10 seconds on the last lap. 16.01 total time and 1.57.3 fastest lap. Lost to what I assume was a street tyre GT1 which caught me with about half a lap to go.
The GT1 was on sports tires. They only showed minor wear at the end of the last lap. I’m not half as fast as you (normally), but I think this is some sort of meta-tune.
That makes sense - the GT1 is quite a bit lighter than the Senna so won’t wear its tyres as much. I thought I’d got far enough ahead but you drove really well to catch me - nice race!
Off the back of that, I’ve restructured my McLaren F1 GT to be on sport tyres. Didn’t spend any real time on this so can no doubt be improved but ran a 1.54.5 lap at Silverstone in rivals and a 1.39.3 at Watkins - last lap was 1.40 on worn tyres but didn’t quite get to medium wear:

Urghh, that car just ruins this series. You did well to hold it off. I just try to find a lobby we’re nobody uses it. Don’t like to give them the satisfaction
Yes.
Many times lately.
It’s strange that after months of playing this game, I never had this problem until very recently.
I did some searching online and found a number of people recommending this work-around:
• Do not select a car when the initial car selection screen comes up after loading into a public lobby.
• Instead, cancel/back out of that first car selection screen, which will then take you to the pit lane menu.
• Use the pit lane menu to select your car.
…So far, this has worked successfully for me without getting stuck on the “changing car” loading screen.
I’ve only been beaten by a 911 GT1 once so far in this R-class mid-engine playlist.
Most of the quick GT1’s I’ve been up against so far were on race tires, so they had to pit, which handed me the lead/win.
I’ve never driven that car, and I’m tempted to throw one together just to get a taste.
It’s possible to get that car to the end on hard race tyres albeit with some pain on the last lap from what I’ve seen. I’ve lost twice today to race tyres ones despite starting to close them down rapidly towards the end. As above, it’s also very strong on sports anyway.
Woah didn’t know it could do it on compounds. It’s unbeatable in capable hands, especially on Suzuka in wet. I have beaten it several times but only in the GMA at high speed tracks
Thought I’d see if the tyres lasted - only turned moderate with about two corners left - still did 1.56 last lap. Ridiculous car (sorry if I put you off racing @Forza_Dids)
Hahah, no you didn’t mate, I was just testing a build of the gt1 on compounds round silver stone. Had no intention of using it. Glad you beat the 911’s, the guy in second beat me round Kylami the race before in the GMA.
