why does I always start at the back in any multiplayer match? I get it in any SOLO match against Ai but multi? Why? also my hole team is always at the back even when it’s an event with 3 races, all 3 races we start at the back !!
The AI in this game is quite clever. It will determine if ou drive like an old lady and put you at the back so that better drivers don’t have to drive past you at the start.
Are you talking maybe about Horizon Tour?
^ sounds like it. The starting positions in multiplayer proper (PvP) are random, which is something that could have been improved over FH4, they could have adopted FM7’s system whereby your placing in the previous race determines your starting place in the next (IIRC it works like that).
Think in FH4 it was doing it. Win one race and it placed u at the end in next. Was wondering why it placed me in all 3 events at first of our team in FH5 maybe another bug. Not playing online atm only
completing the playlist events or some testing but you can see sometimes the list changing before the start and it changes positions of the last 2 drivers.
? What do you want? Part of the event is “Beat the Drivatars” makes no sense starting in front of them
I’m pretty sure it was just completely random in FH4. I won a lot of races, probably most of them, but could be placed anywhere in the next one. It was a real problem in ranked sometimes and could be the sole reason you couldn’t win.
Not necessarily. The drivatars beat us by being in front, why can’t we do the same to them? Doesn’t bother me because they’re easy enough to beat, but it’s a fact that they have a big advantage by starting ahead. It should at least be a mixed grid, alternating between players on each team. Red in first, blue 2nd, red 3rd etc.
I get the idea but in Trial it’s part of the “Beat Drivatars on unbeatable” and its a team thing no need to pass them all. And in Horizon Tour Drivatars are a joke u can beat them easy (maybe on new driver difficulty there). Only seen one tour atm with drivatars in front of some player but whole team lapped this player not sure what he was doing was lots of smoke involved 
Anyway it’s fine for the 1Tour event required for Playlist. Not worth playing more of this timewasting event it shows “Fast travel bla” to place all player in free roam u have to drive to new race (or not doesnt matter) and shows “Fast travel” again before it starts race. No idea who was thinking thats a cool idea
I basically start last everytime a need to fight threw bumper car playing scrubs in Horizon tour. They sabotage the team half the time smashing into each other and slaming into hard turns. It’s fine in A or above I can smoke them, but b and c it’s basically impossible to catch 1st place after fighting threw your so called team
Its random, like in FH4. So, if you usually dont have luck on things, then thats the reason you are placed last most of the times…
