are there current problems connecting to multiplayer lobbies.
I have been trying for the last hour or so, and no luck.
I have checked my internet connection, and it is good enough to stream HD movie from Netflix on my X1 box.
any ideas ?

I have spent the last two days trying to get into multiplayer lobbies.
I have tried to create private lobbies.
NO luck.
I do have a good connections, as I can get Amazon and Netflix to stream HD movies without buffering at all, whilst my laptop is being used.
But even shutting down my laptop and all other computer in the house, the multiplayer access does not work for me.
I would really appreciate some help or suggestions there…

Same here, I was kicked off line last friday, 5-9-2014, and have been getting a “your party is in progress” msg since then. BTW all online players should read the book “The Unfair Advantage” before airing your next grievance about car and track exploits.
i would suggest a hard reboot, holding down the consoles power button till it shuts off to clear the memory and let it start logging in from scratch.
I was having a similar problem on Saturday, my xb1 is wired through a tplink / ethernet cable, so I unplugged that and went back to wireless and got into the the lobbies and was racing as before no problem, I then reconnected the cable and went back to wired connection and this was fixed also, maybe you could try this and see.

My X1 was connected through an ethernet cable, and all was working fine, apart from FM5.
I have unplugged, and did a normal reboot (not even the hard one).
I went through straight away to the multiplayer lobby.
I found out my problem when trying to create a private lobby, so I went to do just that too, and went though too.
Thank you very much for your help.
The reasons why this did not work is beyond my understanding.
But at the end of the day, we knew that X1 would probably have troubles at the beginning…
Nevertheless, I would have appreciated ONE help from the moderators.
I would have thought this information would have been at hand for them, but it seems that I am completely wrong, once again.
Always the first thing to do is to hard reboot, if that doesn’t work shut it down. Then power cycle your router/modem/wifi solution, let it come up, then fire up the xbox and test multiplayer/network connection.
PS: I think their servers have been wonky for whatever reason the past week or so. I’ve got FIOS, so while not incredible, its pretty solid, and my online races have been reminiscent of an Everquest raid back in 2003… The power cycling helps most of the time, but I think they are messing with it.

I am going to be a good boy and try all this,
But this does mot make any sense.
My Xbox One is showing me HD films from Netflix and Amazon without any buffering at all, perfect viewing.
So why should I be worried about the connection at my end, or any of the possible resets on the line ?

(not even talking about all 4 computers using the same internet access in my house, without any form of trouble.
And before you ask, yes, I have disconnected all else than the Xbox that is normally connected to my internet line whilst I carry out those trials.

Moderators don’t have all the answers, considering that we don’t work at T10 or Microsoft offices. I’m sure you’re already aware of the Troubleshooting steps I’ve written up in the Game FAQ, which culminate in contacting forzafb@microsoft.com if no other solutions are working.

I did go through the steps on your FAQ, and could not find any solution helping me, or more accurately that would fit my particular problem.
I have to admit, seeing the way T10 has been invisible lately, I did not even try to contact them via the forzafb email address.
I do appreciate and understand that you guys do not work for MS.
But I would have hoped that you would be given access to more information than us,
Like additional troubleshooting steps, or database, or …
I just feel frustrated.
I did look for a solution and did not find one.
Is it because there isn’t like a problem database of some kind with all known issues, and answers (when they already exist).
I know you are doing your best, but is there a problem where T10 could make more information available ?
