Motorsport Team Management Sub Game

There are a lot of cars to rank up with car XP.
There are drivatars.
There’s enough compute power to simulate races.

It’d be cool if we could throw money or gain level rewards that allow us to grow a race HQ, where we could unlock car slots, hire drivatars that could gain car xp for us while we are offline, etc. Become an owner operator as we progress through the career.

Could also gate some unlocks behind the sub game, such as branded cosmetic/aero parts, fire suits, etc with the inclusion of sponsors and sponsor levels.

It would keep players logging in even if they are taking a break from racing, and maybe even open up some monetization opportunity with potential sponsors who want featured in the game.

Most simply it could just be drivatar contract management, buying rigs for transport, and sending them out to x races for x car XP equating to waiting real world hours for return.

It could become as advanced as having a dyno, wind tunnel, race engineers each maybe providing different tuning suggestions. A small percentage decrease in fuel use, tire wear, bonus to xp, credits, lessen safety rating decrease, etc buffs could be not enough to make things unfair, but still beneficial based on race hq levels.

Would love to build out the race HQ, especially if we could walk around looking at our cars. Even though we get all the data, having all the testing equipment would be a neat addition.

There aren’t “drivetars” per se… there’s full assists where the car can essentially drive itself… I don’t remember whether it was Gran Turismo or FM (4 maybe?) that literally had drivetars that would gain experience and improve with experience…

Otherwise, I like the idea of managing a team. Especially if it involved hiring “AI” drivers and managing tunes and pit stop strategies, etc… it could almost be like “the sims” for racing… LOL
