While I appreciate that it would be great if rules were consistently enforced 100% of the time, it is unrealistic to expect that outcome. And wanting greater user/peer oversight/review of moderation is silly. Like the houseguests demanding that they get a say in how the house rules are enforced because they happen to be in the house.
Forza/Turn10/PGG is capable of maintaining their own system of hierarchy for making sure that moderators are doing their job correctly. As forum houseguests, we can either be stay in the forum house and try to follow the rules, or leave if we donât like the rules or the way they are enforced.
No problem with rules, nor enforcement. Forum or life both.
But- we all deserve respect here, not disdain. Not âtalking overâ your guests either in the living room analogy or here.
Disrespectful guests get booted. Disrespectful hosts in a home lose friends. Disrespectful hosts in forum or in public service exist. For rule and law abiding people, disrespect doesnât have recourse. We come here because we have interest, not to watch ill behaved trash threads, or see disdain towards us.
MS and PGG wonât miss us a bit.
But scale that behavior elsewhere in life, and it doesnât work.
Someone posted earlier âitâs a battle you wonât winâ. Shouldnât be battle at all.
