Recently bought a car from the auction house because I liked the paint job, but it turns out when the car drives it has terrible tuning and tuning can’t be changed because it is locked. It is so bad I think it could be purposely done to screw with people that bought their car rendering it useless except cosmetic wise. From gear 1 to gear 3 the rpm is always in the red making it almost impossible to do turns or go straight without experience heavy oversteer. Is there a way to look at the tuning and upgrades added to the car before buying it from the auction to prevent this from occurring again?
Tuning can always be changed, just get rid of the tune. Say yes you want to erase the tune when it tells you that the tune is locked. It is only locked so that you can’t see what the tuner did to the car, you will still have all the components that the tuner used available for free when you go to re-tune the vehicle the way you like. Or just download a new tune for it after you remove the existing one…
Should have had your mechanic check it out first.
Maybe we should add “Implementation of Lemon Laws” to the feature wishlist.
You forgot “submit a ticket”.
You weren’t scammed at all. Please follow the steps posted by others above to change the tune on your car and then re-title this thread to one that’s more accurate and not misleading.
I thought you were going to say that you bought a car for 900,000 and it ended up as 9Million… that’s what happens to me sometimes. Funny thing is that last time I did that somebody outbid me, and I was saved.
I don’t know if I was scammed. I bought a Maserati that was said to be stock but all the skill points were used. Is there a way of knowing before hand
There is no way of knowing before hand, just assume that anything you buy will have the one-time use perks taken.
Definitely NOT scammed.
On the Maserati 300S, I tried getting one that had the writing on it that said the perks were still there and double checked that the painter and seller were the same GT… but it was a lie, no MC12FE for me!
Guess that is what you get for trying to save a few bucks! Now working on getting the 6mil for it in the Autoshow, by using skill points on the Formula Drift pack cars and some others with big money Car Mastery payouts!
I’ve edited the title of this thread to be a little less accusatory.
N.B. Always assume that, at a minimum, the single-use perks have already been used when purchasing via auction.
