So there’s a ruckus created by Mitsubishi cars appearing in the stream, which is suspect, since it doesn’t make much sense to feature removed cars in an official show. And the staff hasn’t been exactly clear about whether these cars’ inclusion in the game is out of the question or not.
However, there’s a tiny detail most people missed that makes me believe we could still see Mitsubishi vehicles in FH4. In the official statement about the marque’s absence from the game, it was said there wouldn’t be Mitsubishi cars in the game “right now”. Small thing for sure, but in contrast with the statements regarding VW and Toyota in FH3 and FM7, respectively, in which T10 and PG were absolutely clear that we wouldn’t see these marques in the aforementioned games, ever.
Now we have an official stream from what’s theoretically a development build well into the fourth month of the game’s lifespan, and the Mitsubishi cars are still there, with no effort being made to hide them. This is no confirmation of anything, as there could still be legal issues to sort, but it’s definitely suspicious, isn’t it?
We have seen FM7 being used to test FH4 content before, but it was from a leak, not an official stream. I wouldn’t rule out seeing Evos roaming FH4’s Britain in the future.
When everybody in stream did the natural “hype” joking, the devs made a point a bit after that part to say how it is a dev build and will see stuff not ready for release but you do get sneak peeks of what is to come. Since the only devbuild thing we chatted was the Evo…
Yeah I’m not gonna get my hopes too high on Mitsubishi returning as not to be let down. But the fact the dev mentioned the build at that time is quite interesting. That said I do hope everything is getting set straight and they’ll make a return some day.
Their appearance in the official stream, however, is a hint. Maybe it’s not gonna work out, but something is definitely up. Either that, or this reveal is a totally retarded oversight, which I don’t think is the case.
I hope they have some variety this time. I think last time it was Eclipse, Galant and 10x Evos. I get people love evos but there are more mitsubishis than just evos.
Dude I’ll honestly be happy just to have the cars in the game at this point period. Even if that means a few Evos it will be fantastic to know Mitsubishi is still willing to be a part of the Forza franchise.
I’d love to have Mitsubishi back, as long as that’s not the 2nd “Expansion”. I still have hope that there’s some marketing strategy there where Toyota will return to the game along with the reveal of the 2020 Supra in January, but seems unlikely.
I wish instead of bring in multiple versions of the Evo, the Dev would more interesting ones such as Pajero and Delica. Especially the Dakar versions of the Pajero
