Missing exhaust notes and other audio bugs...

I’ve only tested it with four cars but, so far, it seems that changing exhaust DOES NOT change the sound. At all. Unless it’s some kind of audio glitch, this is a major disappointment… I also don’t hear any difference when adding a supercharger. On top of that, I’m also getting a lot of harsh static/clicking sounds when going through the options in the tuning menus.

Anyone else experiencing this? Surely this is a bug…

P.s., one other unrelated glitch… it seems the 2015 Mustang GT is missing its exhaust tips.

I haven’t played enough to test the exhaust yet, but I am getting the clicking/popping in menus. I’ll have to look at my Mustang also when I get home from work to see if the tips are missing.

Noticed the lack of change when upgrading exhaust myself, also noticed all the cars love to backfire but there’s no noise with it, just silent flames :frowning:

Funny thing is, I’m hearing exhaust pops just fine.

I get the feeling this game just has a lot of audio bugs…

Some cars change with the upgrade some don’t it’s very strange for example the 2015 mustang does not change with exhuast upgrade but when u supercharge it the exhuast does change it’s really strange but no super charger whine. It’s like they mixed all the sound files up just like some cars in forza 5. Hopefully they fix this unlike forza 5

Driving around a bit more. I’ve noticed that you actually CAN hear the supercharger… when you’re OFF the throttle! About the only way I could hear it was by using the external view and looking back (so the camera faces the front of the car). You can hear the whine as you decelerate. Then, when you get back on the throttle, the whine gets so quiet you can hardly hear it. This was on my Camaro SS. On the Mustang, I couldn’t really hear it from any angle.

Makes no sense!

Well it could be worse, you could be hearing that annoying static noise every time you race like in FM5. I tried everything to get that to go away and it never did.

As far as the sounds go I read the developer say that they don’t use exact exhaust sounds. They take parts of different sound bites to add to the cars and put it into the game. They want you to hear all kinds of sounds while you drive the car. That might explain why some cars sound different with upgrades and some don’t. Maybe they got lazy with the sounds? Maybe they were limited in options?

Considering that most every car sounds just like they did in FM5, and most of the cars in this game were in FM5, and the same cars with the same mods sounded fine in FM5… that makes no sense. All they needed to do was port the sounds over.

Either someone in the sound department got lazy, or it’s an audio glitch. Considering that almost every car seems to have the audio problems, I think it’s the former.

Hopefully they fix it but then again did turn 10 ever fix the poping in forza 4 no they carried it right over to forza 5 lol

They needed to dig up the sounds of forza 2

ive got a feeling this is just me but sometimes when im driving the car sound will stay the same for like 2-5 and then go back to where the sound should be

Yeah that’s what the audio hang glitch is which I really don’t understand how they released the game without noticing / fixing it. Come Christmas the game should be pretty much faultless.
I too get an annoying static sound everytime I’m going through the hub menus.

Another thing i find annoying is the audio when accelerating with the I4 Rally engine it just sounds like a load of Hoover’s in a washing machine. Sound when off the throttle is great though and very accurate
