Why is it that my 65 cooper will go around most tracks better than any of my better cars. I hate it seems like a well tuned c class car is always the coop…,.,kind of dissapointed, anyone else feel this way.before i get spamed with hate yes i have multiple tunes and cars
Sounds like your mini is your best car
I owned a 1968 tuned Morris Cooper S in the early '70s. 1301 cc with 45mm Webber. Dyno tuned to 97HP. Full race engines of the time showed around 104HP. And yes Coopers were amazing. My D class Mini feels just like my old car. Point the front wheels where you want to go and punch it. It will pull you through the corner. But hang on to the wheel because the torque will rip it out of your hands!
Too true mate. I had one with 1300cc MG lump and it was amazing, the term ‘like its on rails’ was mean’t for the Mini. Loved snapping engine mounts though but nothing a block of wood between engine and bulkhead couldn’t fix!
I just want to get the affinity to 25 so I can stop using it. It is just too good; it needs to be upgraded by about 50 PI points . . .
The original Mini was always a good and oddly competitive car, especially in Rally. Its tiny wheel base, lite weight and responsive handling made it a quite good and tiny racer.
Nothing wrong with the little mini, its a great car
My 65 Mini has become my favorite car in the game. By far, the easiest car to drive. Use it for rivals and work your way up the leaderboards. I use my Mini as a benchmark for my other cars. If I can beat the time from my Mini (doesn’t happen often), then I know I am on to something good. Problem is, I have a ton of D class cars just sitting in my garage that will never get used now, because they can’t touch the Mini. Heck, I’ve got C class cars that can’t beat my Mini.
BTW, why would you stop driving it once you reach affinity level 25? Isn’t that the point, to earn the max amount of bonus credits in each race because of your affinity level?
I recently stopped using the mini but essentially for 2 reasons:-
- I’m chasing affinity achievements.
- I’m hoping that trying a range of other cars might help to improve my in game driving ability and to be honest I need all the help I can get.
The Mini was legendary but I suspect they left a few dozen PI points off the table when they uploaded this.
THIS!
It’s a great car, but a top-of-D-class Mini really should be rated a low-to-mid “C” for game balance purposes.
I had an Austin Mini with a 1275 Cooper engine and quite simply it was the best and most fun car I have driven. It used to leave BMW coopers for dust and did so with a throaty roar. The patter of tiny feet put an end to my mini days.
Power to weight ratio and a short wheel base make it the great car it is.
I am new to xbox gaming and soon to get Forza 5, especially knowing there there is a 65 Cooper S in the game and seemingly done great justice
Because you don’t have the skill yet to drive faster in other cars. Pretty simple really.
C class is wide open. The mini is really good, but can be beat easily with other cars.
