Can't use D class car in D class lobby

Hello all,

Only had FM6 for a week. I’m a big fan of my classic cars, so inevitably I went for a 1965 Mini Cooper.

Built it up to D class (PI 400). Entered D class lobby, but I can’t use it. Altered it to PI 399. Still can’t use it. (So I used my XR2 instead)

I hit the forums and found the thread Cars performing Outside PI range, which shone some light on the situation. I couldn’t reply to that thread (maybe it’s been locked??), so I was hoping for an update.

Ironically, when I couldn’t use the Mini, I bought an X1/9 (before reading the post), which I could use in a B class lobby.

Is the Mini banned from online lobbies?
Is there a way I can use the Mini online?
Has the X1/9 been fixed (since I could use that successfully)?
Is there a fix coming for the Mini?

Any help on the matter at all will be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

yea, no, i don’t know, I doubt it

Bump.

Still waiting for a sensible reply.

Still waiting for a sensible reply on this.

It was banned early on because of a 4wd glitch that made it like a rocket ship. The glitch has been fixed yet the car remains banned from online racing, months later after the fix but You can still use it rivals and career for what it’s worth.

Hope that’s sensible enough.

That’s just what I was after. An actual explanation. Thank you. I’ll be honest, it’s a disappointing answer, since I still can’t use it, but thanks for the info. Seems a shame they go to the effort of patching it, but still not allowing it to race in D class lobbies but happily allow it to race in B class lobbies.

Thanks.

I hope someone looks into this and hopefully fixes it.

You have done what you can in a civilised manner by posting this, to bring light to the issue. Nothing more you can do.

Might be worth shooting JONK1969 or RBW TRITON a message, as both have been active on the forums recently. Triton’s the Multiplayer specialist at Turn 10 I believe, and probably has control over the blacklist.

This is great guys. Just the kind of positive response I was hoping for from the forums.

I have recently seen the Fiat X/19 destroying everything in A class multiplayer. I was about 8 - 10 seconds a lap slower.

Yeah, I mentioned the X1/9 in my original post. It seems to be a useable car even though it’s blacklisted, but I’ll be honest, since the “fix” it’s not the easiest car to drive quickly, so credit where it’s due to anyone using it successfully. Just keep practicing. Those 8-10 seconds will soon decrease.

10 seconds?

  1. It’s your tune/build.

  2. You are demonstrating a lack of skill and finesse during the race

Find a mirror look into it, thats what’s responsible for making you 10 seconds a lap slower

I read some thing just like that quite recently. I cant remember who wrote it.

The black listed cars (mini / fiat) have been restored for D and C classes in Hoppers. Have fun.

This is great news. Just had a PM from JONK1969 confirming this too. Thanks for all the work guys.

Off to go play (when the servers are back online) :stuck_out_tongue:

Awesome, thanks.

Now if only we could race the 1970s Grand Prix cars somewhere. They’re too strong for R/900, but maybe an “Unlimited R/900” Hopper would be good?

Great news. They not as OP as forza 5 and offer something different to a lobby. Thanks
