I’m having issues with the unimog’s bed tarp. I can’t wrap it to change it’s color, any advice would be helpful.
Annoyingly there are many vehicles with parts and surfaces that simply can’t be painted, or only painted badly. This is one.

I was able to put a vinyl group on it, but I made it a while ago, so maybe something has changed since. Have you tried putting someone else’s livery on, or importing one from FH4 (if you’ve played that of course)?
Interesting. I was sure I’d tried all kinds of things with that and got nothing to work. Maybe I’ll have to revisit it or hope someone comes along with a guide 
It’s possible to add vinyl at all sides of the tarp except the front and will be forever white. Any vinyl added to the front only affects the cab.

He’s talking about painting it. The digital camo is an option from the paint booth and not something he did himself. It’s very well possible to apply vinyl’s to it.
Btw, added vinyls from the side will also apply on top of the light bar. 
His picture is from the Vinyl editor and he mentioned adding a wrap, but yeah, he probably meant the paint booth. I expect this will go on the ‘to be fixed never’ pile.
I guess when I tried a vinyl it was one of those cases of not moving it enough to “see” it, like when trying to get a small vinyl on so many (all ?) aero wing sides. Ah well, good to know. Thanks.
EDIT : Had a quick go at it and sure enough vinyl works and shows up easy. Not sure what was up with it way back when I was having a play with it but it works now. So there’s the “solution” for the OP… you just have to create a camo pattern vinyl
I tried to make a huge rectangular shape just for the purpose if it shows up in the front. No luck for me.
Yeah, I didn’t try the front, took you at your word on it. Hmm, maybe that is where I’m recalling having an issue with it ? I dunno, so long back I don’t even recall the look I was going for, some moving company thing ? Or antiquities “recovery” I might have tried the front first by chance and just wrote the whole thing off when it failed ?
So… the front of the tarp is camo… winter camo… hehehe…
