I was in the same lobby , ppl wrecking yes but not myself or Raul , after been wrecked several times and seeing the mics flashing in the lobby we decided to jump into game chat to listen, I was shocked to hear a large group saying we where cheating and using moded cars etc and planning there next attack. I’ve saved a few replays and shared called sat1 , sat2 , sat3 , sat4 on forza TV , apparently if you keep winning races you must be cheating so therefore it’s ok to smash into you , welcome to forza !
I have raced with many of the EMW guys and I haven’t had much of an issue. Yes there are wrecks but no team is perfectly clean. I have to remind some of my guys to not engage in that type of racing and to either just leave or take you licks and record it at the end of the race.
Last week I joind a lobby and before I could even pick a car somebody said “vote the ERS guy out because they use cheat cars.” Luckily I had a non ERS member friend in there that was able to call BS on him. I only drove cars that I had shared and I told them to download them. The cheater told me that my car was bugged because stats that I had on it were way better then his. I simply explained that its because he doesn’t know how to build correctly and to assume im cheating instead of asking for help isn’t a smart route to go. I pulled him into a party with just me and gave him a few open source tunes he could play with. Hopefully he understands that he needs to improve his skills and that the fast guys don’t have to build crappy cars just for him to be competitive.
Before you call somebody a cheat please throw your xbox out the window.
At the title screen, hold up and left (diagonal), start, select, A, and B all at the same time (simultaneously). The screen should then turn blue. It is very important that these buttons are all held. While held, the screen will blink from black to blue. Release them when the screen as soon as the screen “begins to change blue” or the title screen will appear again. Now in each MP lobby screen there will be an extra menu item in the lower left hand corner that allows you to add extra HP, Grip, Decrease Opponent HP, Select Opponent to auto-ram rest of lobby, etc.
I knew RAUL would come back and clear the air. Sadly the situation he was in last night happens way to often. Im glad you got it recorded RAUL and I hope they all get the free 7 day vacation.
EMW Raul. If what you say is true then I very uncharacteristically grossly misread the whole situation. For this you have my unreserved apologies. It is not like me to point fingers where they shouldn’t be pointed. So I again apologise.
On another note I certainly didn’t want this thread to turn into a millennials attack. I was born in the early seventies. In my experience the old gen will always think the new gen is worse. I hope this isn’t true cause the new gen will need to pay for my pension!
Why would anyone subject themselves to a hopper lobby is what I want to know? Not worth it to get wrecked by a troll or pushed out of the way by someone who thinks they are faster. Entitlement is the word you are looking for and yes it is a problem especially in a hopper. I stay away and race private or ghost leagues. That’s the only option I have. It’s not ideal but hoppers are just terrible, a complete waste of time.
I know the EMW boys well there very clean enough said. But if the noobs in the lobby were trying to take them out and if the EMW boys took matters into there own hands and dished out some justice I don’t consider that there not clean sometimes you need to defend yourself when a room full of noobs are trying to wreak you.Raul you can’t reason with a noob so don’t bother there all the same in the way they think.
Tinkly I think part of that problem could be hugely alleviated if we had proximity mics, so that cars you were close to could hear what you were saying. Often If I have someone clearly faster than me wanting to overtake, I will actually tell them which side to pass me on, or if I make a mistake and accidentally hit someone and say sorry they can’t hear this and think I did it on purpose and try and retaliate. In fact a good one was a few months ago, I outbraked myself gently tapped the car in front who was pinged off the track, realising it was my fault I said sorry and that I would wait for him/her to overtake. I slowed right down on the following straight, and yes he/she rammed straight into the back of me. If they could hear me the matter would have been diffused immediately. Instead they ragged me for the next few races and I quit the lobby . Unfortunately they will not either have there mics turned on or they will not know which of the 23 other cars is talking. But then again if they only want to talk to their friends on party chat that is totally their prerogative.
“Tinkly I think part of that problem could be hugely alleviated if we had proximity mics, so that cars you were close to could hear what you were saying”
Turn 10 can’t even get mics in the lobby to work properly, how on earth do you think they can do this?
If I ever hit people I will go off track and stop until they have passed and then message them after the racing to apologize, even if I bump them a little.
One lesson (amongst others) that’s emphasized again from this thread is that things (on track) seldom are what they seem or what we think they are. Making strong accusations against others without a good basis or proof to do it from can leave you with a red face that often cannot be rectified by a mere apology afterwards.
I don’t know Raul, but I know his teammate EMW IVORBIGUN a little bit from the few months on Project Cars and he was damn fast and certainly not a bigheaded crasher, so expect his team to be the same…
This is the exact reason I Don’t miss having AZT / RpM / F4H / TER / UsR / AAA in my gamertag. There is a bizarre attitude that goes towards people that are quick on this game. As soon as you use the same car as everyone else and beat them by 10 seconds + the default reaction is either to wreck you next race, call you a cheater or both!
It’s gotten that bad I’ve started using a Porsche Macan in A Class lobbies, purely because it’s fun to drive and not likely to win every single race.
Hey, I found that holding my controller upside down and backwards, really makes me go fast!.. If you’re not that fast, you’re just not that fast…deal with it or get better. NO ONE IS CHEATING!!!
As a member of STI, I can say that Raul is right. My team though keeps getting criticized by the whole forza community for no reason and honestly its just childish.
You get criticized for cheating because you actually are cheating. Don’t see what’s so hard to understand there. They had to fix monza because people like sti straight line the chicane because they can. There’s a difference between people who are wrongly accused of cheating and people who actually are taking advantage of a game. Especially if you’re being criticized by the “whole forza community” you’re probably doing something wrong.
