Meetups hoppers and private multiplayer feature

MEETUPS LOBBY FEATURE

New to FM7 with the September content update:

Footage from the September episode of Forza Monthly: https://youtu.be/CKSVmuiG0uE?t=3212

In Private mutiplayer, set the Game Type to Meetups. Look for Meetups hoppers in the public multiplayer list of lobbies.

where do you access the new “meetups” mode?
i looked everywhere, multiplayer, leagues, rivals, single player, forza cup, i dont see it anywhere?

I’ve been looking everywhere and there is no trackday or meetup hopper to be found. In the description for the September update it literally says there are PUBLIC meetups… Where do I find this hopper?

i cant find it anywhere either, i just posted about it too before i saw this post.

Create a private lobby and then set the Game Type to Meetups, seen here:

so there is no public or hopper version of this?
it has to be a private lobby?

So this only works with friends, not public? There is no way to access or see someone’s meetup that is not in my friendlist?

Announced in yesterday’s livestream, there should have been 3 public multiplayer meetup hoppers added after today’s content update. If they’re not there now, maybe they’re coming at 5pm Pacific which is a typical changeover time.

ah ok, thank you Manteo.

Go to Multiplayer and scroll right:
Open Drift Meetup
Open Airfield Meetup
Open Track Day Meetup

Vote for a new track if you want it to change; when votes cross 51% of the lobby a countdown timer will start.

that makes more sense, it just wasn’t there when I looked

I think it’s pretty cool. I messed around in the public meetup hoppers and it was kind of fun. Even though it’s really simple, I think it’s a great addition to Forza. It’s also really convenient to be able to just pop out of a meetup, change car, and join back in.

The Meetup hoppers are a great addition!

If only we could get rid of the auto-pitting for these hoppers and open the lane up

That would be cool, making it so you can pause and go to pits (I think the car should have to be stopped to access the pause menu screen) or drive into the pits and park in their bay to put them in the lobby screen. Then when rejoining the race car enters the track from pit lane again.

Something that would be nice to have in meetups is the ability to load back on track at different places, and not just the start finish.
Mainly for longer tracks.

Possibly being able to load in at the section splits.

The meetup lobbies are lot of fun but griefing is a problem on some tracks. Just got out of a track day hopper at Bathurst and there were 3 chirons and a limo blocking the track. Road America was great until someone decided to knock sponsor signs all over the track. It needs some QOL updates but it’s fun when it works.
