Meetups in Forza Motorsport
Meetups is a new multiplayer mode added to Forza Motorsport in Update 20.
Meetups invite you and your friends to join other players on-track without the pressure of competition, car restrictions or race rules. Jump into Open Track Day Meetups where you can put down your best lap time or flaunt your drifting skills in Drift Meetups!
Drive, tune, upgrade your car, enjoy the dynamic time of day and weather, and vote to change the track at any time for the current Meetup event! Once a track has reached over 50% of the vote, the current meetup will end and the lobby will be then taken to the track with the most votes.
May 19 hotfix:
- Ghosting has been enabled in Track Day Meetups for many of the same scenarios that can occur in Featured Multiplayer (driving backwards, stopped on track, high velocity collisions, etc.).
- Developerās Note: While weāre initially only making this change for Track Day Meetups, we will continue to observe the communityās feedback to ascertain if we need to do the same thing for Drift Meetups as well.
Menu Navigation
Select the Race option from the main menu and select Meetups. To switch cars while in a Meetup, you need to go back to the pre-race menu. Pause the game and select āExit ā Leave Raceā to return to the Pre-Race menu. In Update 20, we will have four Meetups available to select from at any time:
- Fujimi Kaido Drift Meetup ā Go sideways on massive stretches of serpentine Japanese mountain roads in this 24/7 Meetup at Fujimi Kaido with Drift Scoring enabled.
- Cycled Track Drift Meetup ā All 73 track layouts are available in this Drift Meetup where you can vote for your favorite drift track.
- Nürburgring Nordschleife Track Day Meetup ā Tackle the āGreen Hellā in this 24/7 Meetup at the Nordschleife ā the perfect track to test any car build and put it through its paces.
- Cycled Track Day Meetup - All 73 track layouts are available in this Meetup where youāre encouraged to set your best lap time on any track, in any car.

Meetup Etiquette and Reporting Unsportsmanlike Conduct
We are excited to bring Meetups to Forza Motorsport and want to share a reminder of expected behavior while using this feature. Meetups are intended to be friendly and welcoming, bringing us together to be the best toward each other. The same standards for clean driving and good conduct that are in competitive racing apply in Meetups too.
To keep a safer and more positive racing environment for all players, weāve enabled ghosting in Track Day Meetups for many of the same scenarios that can occur in Featured Multiplayer (driving backwards, stopped on track, high velocity collisions, etc.). While weāre initially only making this change for Track Day Meetups, we will continue to observe the communityās feedback to ascertain if we need to do the same thing for Drift Meetups as well.
As a reminder, when someone starts playing Forza Motorsport, they agree to the Forza Code of Conduct. The code includes instructions to:
-
Drive Cleanly - Whether it is your first time on the track or your 1000th, you owe it to your community to drive a clean and fair race with no unsportsmanlike conduct on the track. In other words: no intentional ramming!
-
Enjoy the Drive - Remember that Forza is a game, so have fun, be a good sport, and be courteous to your fellow drivers.
There are legitimate reasons why players may unintentionally tap, bump or even crash into each other while racing (the key word is āunintentionalā). This does not excuse any players who deliberately try to hinder othersā enjoyment of a Meetup (or any multiplayer race) through ramming and shoving, which has never been acceptable in any Forza Motorsport game to date.
Anyone who sees unsportsmanlike behavior can report the gamertag to our enforcement team. Please include a video clip or other form of evidence for us to review, as we will not be able to take action without accurate evidence. Deliberately griefing other players may result in suspension.
