McLaren P1 Active aero

I was very disappointed in fh3 and now in 4 that the p1 Active spoiler does not lower at stationary and low speeds and thought but in the British racing green story the full animation sort of glitch played and the spoiler folded down perfectly and then redeployed with all the correct motion Why can it not do that all the time it’s the game how hard could it be to turn on

I was really pleased to see that in The Crew 2 they got this right. Really disappointing that Forza can’t do it properly though, especially with their close ties to McLaren in recent titles.

There’s a whole thread about this from Horizon 3. The car is in race mode, hence, the rear wing is always up.

Agreed, active aero should be functional. In the showroom the wing is down but when driving it’s always up. My guess is that it wouldn’t be “fair” to all the other vehicles with tunable (but static) rear aero.

With regard to the “didn’t notice” guy, this is a game about car fantasies. Details matter, just look at the marketing. The word “detail” is mentioned a thousand times. And this is a pretty glaring detail to overlook.

Other cars have animated active aero, but I’m not sure if it is functional or merely cosmetic.

Disappointing that this carries through game after game.

just put on a forza rear wing and voila
