Half the appeal of the P1 is the low set active aero sitting flush with the rest fo the body. Just completely thrown out the window for 3 straight games.
So you’re saying a personal preference of yours means the aero is broken?
Race mode could well just be what the car was in when T10 had access for modelling and for a racing game (let’s not forget the car was introduced in the Motorsport series), race mode is probably the correct one. Personally, I actually prefer it in race mode, too.
Except it worked the same way in FM5 as it does now, I just checked. When driving around the wing acts as if it’s in race mode, permanently up and adjusting itself as an airbrake when needed, the same way it does in FH2, FM6, and FH3. Compare this image of FM5 with the car sitting perfectly still and the wing is up: with this image of FH3, same car, same scenario:
The only time the wing can be fully lowered is in ForzaVista which can be accomplished in all games that have it (FM5, FM6, FH3.)
I honestly prefer to allow selection of the three driving modes: Street, Race, and Track. Why can’t we do that in the games? And why can’t we even use DRS and IPAS like in DRIVECLUB and real life? Did they throw those options out the window?
If this keeps up, expect the TRION NEMESIS to suffer from the same thing: permanently stuck in Predator Mode (which is the P1’s Race mode but for the NEMESIS).
And yes, it irks me when details with my favorite cars, especially PIs and active aerodynamics, are incorrect. (Where are the SS badges for the 2016 Camaro SS?)
It’s not broken. The P1 in Forza has been set to race mode, which keeps the wing up. It only retracts in normal/sport/track. And seeing as we can’t change driving modes, the wing remains up.
It’s not just the P1 you know, yes i would love to be able to select the different race modes with cars that allow to do so, but there is one small detail you guys missed, the P1 of FH2 on the Xbox 360 has the wing down and it goes up when at speed, goes back down to middle when at high speed and tilts up for braking, i’m thinking the P1 on FH2 360 edition is in either sport or track mode, unlike the current race mode we have on the current gen forza titles, i do find it odd though, not only that but the Hennessey Venom GT also has an active rear wing, except it only acts when at high speeds kind of like the veyron wing, except it doesn’t have an air brake, a lot more cars with missing active aero wings include almost all the lamborghinis and if i’m not mistaken it has been like that since the very beginning
I would also love to be able to control th car completely like driving modes (this includes control of rear wings), doors and such (i guess for photo purposes), and even convertible roofs.
