I finally finished my self motivated accomplishment today by hitting the maximum affinity on the last of the manufacturers (89 total, I believe). I ran many laps on Nurburgring full to achieve this.
I have read from time to time that others were working on this same accomplishment. Who else has finished this?
Congrats. I’m working on this myself. I’ve been working on career, which eats up Lotus and a lot of manufactures with lmp cars. Radical was done in two days thanks to the league. Just wish it was easier with Hummer and Chryslus.
I started working on this (beyond the 25 needed for the platinum Allegiance badge) around Easter. Progress was somewhat slow until I read about someone using the 3 X 100 boosts. That helped quite a bit. Then came NASCAR, which slowed things down again. Looking back, I am guessing I averaged 5 races a week … some weeks more and some weeks less.
I reached a point where I had not raced any cars for quite a few of the manufacturers. This is where I found that 8 laps at Nurburgring full was not enough. I then added a ‘pre race’ which was 1 or 2 laps at Indy oval with the Manufacturer Assistance (I believe) boost which added 4000 affinity. This was enough to make 8 laps work. It also gave me a chance to test my setups before the long Nurburging races. Most of the 8 lap races took anywhere from 70 - 90 minutes each.
The race that took the longest was with the Terradyne Gurkha. I was at the 9 minute mark at the half way point of lap 1 so I stopped the race and made some changes. At this point I chose to use the massive weight reduction option, which helped considerably, but it was still a long race. It is a very heavy vehicle that takes quite a while to accelerate to speed. If I remember correctly, I did get it up to about 135 mph on the long back straight away.
I love the fact that there are others trying to accomplish this. The excitement kept building for me as I closed in on finishing the task. I love looking at the boards and seeing the manufacturer icons in all the spaces.
I’m assuming you did this in freeplay mode? I was unaware that we got XP for doing freeplay mode, that’s why I always stayed in rivals. Looks like I have a new goal
they have made it so easy now. for a challenge do it in fm4 where its 2.6 mill per manufacture. i’m still working on fm4. and no cards on 360. just grinding. and you have to do career races because freeplay doesn’t give any xp. i think amc took the longest so far at over 30 hours of lapping indy infeild. all it has is the javelin which doesn’t have many upgrades avalible.
Since I have all the DLC I also have the Gremlin and Pacer available for AMC. But I doubt I will get it to max affinity. Currently only have three at max affinity Peugeot, Ferrari and Chevrolet working on 4 and 5 Ford and BMW.
That’s pretty cool. I was planning on doing that as well but I personally just can’t motivate myself to drive cars I’m not interested in just to make a number go up.
I am at 62. I did all the ones I could while doing the Signature Series Endurance Races and the rest I have done while racing in the lobbies. I did however do the Terradyne, Chryslus and Ram Runner in Free Play.
You definitely have to be in the right state of mind, that’s for sure. It also helps if you have something else to occupy your mind, as well. It also helps that by the time I did the Terradyne I had a pretty good command of the track. I definitely would not have wanted to use that vehicle as the first on Nurburgring.
There are others about equal to the Hummer as well, I just can’t recall which ones. You definitely need to have the desire to complete this task… I did the Terradyne right after I did the Semi, which was a challenge of its own.
What surprised me was how well the Terradyne handled, once properly tuned/equipped. It was just very slow at accelerating. Once you get it up to speed, it’s not all that bad. Unfortunately, on Nurburgring, there is quite a bit of ‘getting it back up to speed.’ It does have one heck of an engine growl, though. I am planning to do laps on the Indy oval, where it can pretty much stay up to speed to see how that goes.
It looks like there is a new manufacturer to have a go with in the August DLC, so that will be tonight’s activity after I do a couple of Porsche races to get the Prodigy mods.
I did the these on Daytona Tri-Oval. It will take 2 sessions to completely max 1 of them out. It takes 372,000 XP to hit level 25. You will need to run 2 races at 50 laps and that will net you 376,000 XP for Affinity. You will need 6 of the 100% XP boost mods to do this in 2 sessions.
David, it is the white Porsche: 2012 911 GT3 RS 4,9. It is the last car in the first of 2 groups (Building Innovation) in the second set of races (The Evolution) in Anthology. (Hopefully that makes sense). You do the Hockenheim 3 lap race. After you finish this race (about 7 minutes), just hit restart race so you do not have to listen to all the prerace stuff again.
When using this boost you get 100% Affinity XP and Driver XP.
There are others as well, but I found this race to be the quickest (plus I love that car).
Each race will give you the Prodigy boost mod that you need. Using 3 of these boosts will give you the level 25 affinity in just over 8 laps at Nurburgring full. I love this track, as well.
So basically it works out as follows: about 20 minutes to get the 3 Prodigy mods from Porsche Anthology and then 70 - 90 minutes on the Nurburgring. Finally, about 1 minute of so for 1 lap of Indy oval, using the 4000 affinity boost. I don’t know where all those 4000 boosts came from but I had a crap ton of them so that worked out well. There is also a 7000 boost as well. The 100% affinity boosts will not do it for you, if you want to just do one lap. Otherwise, given the load time and summary time for the Indy oval race, you may as well do the 9 laps of Nurburgring.
I had all of the original manufacturers maxed out and a few of the earlier DLC models over the winter, but I’ve been away from the game for a while now, so there will be one or two that I haven’t done - W Motors for one. Was waiting for them to fix/create the badges, but they never did
since I usually figure out efficient ways of doing things ill give a tip to anyone who is willing to hear.
the best mod for this is expert, gives 7k xp per mod. select free play and pick the shortest track in the game, (its one of the test track layouts.)
use 3 expert mods and do one lap, then when the result screen comes up hit retry and use 3 more. it takes a lot of money to get these mods, but I got most of my affinities up to 25 in around an hour each
I have all of them at 25 as well, my main method was to use 3x 100% xp cards at tracks that were coming up on various race series’ schedules while listening to podcasts to keep my mind occupied. I also tried to drive multiple cars for each brand just to keep it interesting.
Is there only 89? I know there are 87 badges available on the affinity pages. There is also the NASCAR affinity badge on the NASCAR page. That is 88. I know that W Motors doesn’t have a badge but you can earn affinity for it. I don’t have the Hot Wheels DLC but one of cars shows the manufacturer as Hot Wheels. I’d assume you can get affinity for it. That would bring the total to 90. I’m not sure any other manufacturer doesn’t have a badge associated with them.
