Very disappointed in the matchmaking. I know I’m not that good but I shouldn’t finish in last every single race. I don’t know what to do, but I am so frustrated right now. I’m not even playing multiplayer anymore. Sucks cause I really like this game, but with this matchmaking in the multiplayer It’s frustrating. I don’t know if I’ll play the game at all. I’ll just stick to Aceto Corsa competition. I try and race clean lines not to hit anyone not to cut corners and I have no chance of winning or placing top three not expecting the wind cause I know I’m not good but I know I shouldn’t last every time not happy.k
And even more frustrating is that after every multiplayer race The game has to be restarted so then I miss out on practice for the next round and I’m even worse off
Are you racing different PI ratings or always the same like GT? Maybe you could try slower races, I myself usally won`t drive P class or X.
Are you getting last because of incidents or without?
And what is your rating btw?
Start from Touring cars and choose a car that you feel good. Find a good setup (or create a good one if you have the competences) and race, race, race.
It takes a lot of practice to do well. Forza is a game that is sometimes more difficult than ACC.
Less simulation but much more punishing.
What is your current skill rating?
Also i would start with touring cars as well. If you’re doing open class racing, you could be coming in last just because you’re driving an uncompetitive car.
I also have to assume you’re exaggerating when you say you come in last every single race, right?
Matchmaking is not working that’s all.
The priority for matchmaking in this game is to fill up lobby first, then it makes another and fills up next one, so u end up with players with random skill rating.
On average safety is matched pretty well, skill has a bit of spread. Matchmaking locations is just random it seems.
I still have reservations that it is not locked down to only drivers at your safety rating. Unless they prove that with a UI update that shows skill/safety rating for everyone, I will always be skeptical that they have any (functional) system in place to match similar players together.
Pretty much this, lobbies are effectively random because it fills them too fast. Mtchmaking on the go was never going to work and is a complete misunderstadning of how ELO systems in racing work. Pretty much the only viable solution at this point without changing the whole system would be for matchmaking based on rating/saftey to be done at the end of practice/qualification (still done based on rating, not qualification time).
Tbh I would prefer matchmaking done by qualify time, since I like to drive slower cars from time to time in open multiplayer, I would want to race with someone on similar pace, ofc its possible that’s people will cheat their qualify time to make it slower, but there’s risk that u would for eg start in last position vs all meta sweats when u do it😎 so I think matchmaking based on qualify time and safety rating, would work. Definitely u would have closer race than it’s now, when I usually have to race vs myself or someone meta abusing. Since most of players in lobby are just too slow.
Problem is that qualification time matchinng is exploitable.
Well it is, but it’s still better than 3 players u can race with and 20 noobs behind u xd
We just need a ranking system who work, all meta players will be with other meta players on top rank, and it need to decrease slowly for avoid peoples who chain loose for go on lower rank
