Hi, I’m having a problem in Forza motorsport 5. And it is a big one. So I one day decided to do a 50 lap race in freeplay while on unbeatable, all asists off, car class X, and in the Indianapolis oval. I finished the race in 3rd place (keep in mind I had 800 credits before this). I ranked 4 times and gained 280,000 credits each time I ranked up (total of 1,120,000 credits). So I go back and try to buy a car and it says I have only 580,000 some credits. At first I thought I read how much credits I got wrong, so I continued to use my credits, it did not bother me, until I did the same exact race again. This time I was in first place, also ranked 4 times, and also got 280,000 credits each time I ranked up (AGAIN total of 1,120,000 credits). This time I made sure I was right. I did the math. And I was rank 26 and ranked to 30. And sure enough, when I went back to the game screen to buy a car, I have only 400,000 credits (before I did the race I had 12,000 some credits). I am NOT the only one experiencing this problem, I’m not even getting HALF of how much I’m supposed to get. My username on Xbox Live Gold is ‘WhisperyHearts’. Turn10, I need compensation. This is not why I payed 60 dollars plus 70 for the VIP pass and Car season pass. Fix this and give me my credits.
You did get the correct amount. At the end of the race You leveled up 4 times, at 70k per level that is 280k. The amount you are seeing is the total of those 4 level ups, not the amount for each one.

It shows you the aggregate of all the level ups not the prize for each level up.
You went from 26 to 30, which is four levels. You don’t get four notifications at the end of the race, just one, which combines all your winnings into one lump. This lump sum, 280,000, is four times the VIP amount of 70,000, which in turn is double the normal amount of 35,000.

Standard reward per level is 35k. VIPs get 70k per level. What you’re seeing is the total credit reward for the race, not per level. Even if it somehow indicates per level, that’s not the case. 70k is the correct amount for VIPs.
dont worry, you’ll still get plenty of credits to buy everything. i own every car and it only paid 17k per level up when i did career. i also have about 13 mill in spare credits. the most expensive car in the game is only 2 million. i haven’t done the math but i suspect the average price is well under half a mill and there aren’t even 300 cars including dlc. even at 17k per level up you have enough to buy the next car for career before you needed it at the old high prices. you are making 4X as much and the cars are cheaper now. you aren’t going to have a problem. just continue playing the game and you’ll be stock piling credits with nothing left to spend them on before you know it.

It looks like you did a freeplay race or online private lobby with no opponents and I’m pretty sure that you don’t get credits when you’re racing solo.
