There is a spot at the bottom of the website to discuss the tournament. I asked about the car class issue.
From what I gathered, for 1 vs 1 you have to create a new team every time. Why? I have no idea but that’s what the rules say.
I was finally able to sign up for week one. I signed up for other weeks too. Basically this thing is like forza leagues. Participate and do well and you’ll earn a lot of points.
Seeding is by pro points and since I doubt most of us have MLG experience it’ll likely be a random draw. I hope I don’t draw Raceboy in round 1. Lmao.
Im curious about a lot of these issues as well, trying to get a team together but Im not sure ill make it to week 1, and im not sure if i should pre register all 7 weeks or how to go about that, what about the winners? Can they be bracket busters or how does that work out?
Having never participated in MLG before I feel like a real noob, lol. I need one more person for 3v3 and I might do 1v1. Just hope I can figure out how it all works on the fly.
I still don’t understand why we have to create a new team for each week.
So one of my biggest questions: We know that the 3v3 and 1v1 are best 2/3 but in the 3v3 match, how is the winning team determined? I couldn’t find anything but is it an average finish or points system within each race? I’m curious.
Hopefully they dont shut it down on the 3v3 side, id rather do that then the 1v1…maybe itll fill up more for the latter weeks, wont be able to do week 1 anyways so
Check in should be open now (and is required), closes at 3:58pm EDT. Click the “View your team” button and then “This tournament requires check in. Please do so by clicking here: Check In.”
If you haven’t signed up for week two, please do. This has been a great experience so far and I’ve met some really cool people. Pretty happy about getting into the sweet 16 before losing to a beastly driver.
I think if people remembered to check in it could have been even more fun. Having a blast so far so I definitely agree :)! Damn Rio Coast and Brands Indy were interesting though lol.
Never had to worry about rio. I stunk up the field at brands hatch but made a nice comeback at Sonoma. One more lap and idk it could have been super close.
I went out on a high note. Looks like the cream is rising to the top though.
Edit: just realized how rough my side of the bracket was. Lol. Noticed there was a finals-esque battle in the elite 8.
