So now spec series where you can atleast tune suspensions differential aero and stuff became a messy stock series where you have to drive a car like when you just bought.
Lazy game design…
It makes sence that the race editon of cars are stock but yeah an old bmw from the 90s? In real life that would not even be safe. Whats the point of upgrading if we dont even get to apply them, exp for open class races.
Honestly, I only have one more lvl 1 car in garage…
I hope there will be more races like this because I don’t like upgrading the cars and tuning them I like to drive the cars like they ment to be by the manufacturer. And having everyone in the same conditions is perfect for actually racing in equal conditions and not wining by better setup or updrades pack. I want to compete in driving not in building and tuning a car.
I enjoy to setup the cars i drive to my style of driving, don’t really enjoy driving a car where i can only set tyres pressure…
There are class based lobbies for that
there is 1 class based lobby, there aren’t class based lobbies at moment
Absolutely loving this hopper!!
Ye it’s nice for who can’t tune his car or too lazy to learn…
Honestly I feel the same way about stock racing, I don’t usually tune my cars either. During the career I literally slapped parts on how I felt it needed to be handling vs power for the specific cars.
With that said I still feel your pain on the lack of hoppers where tuners can tune. This lack of class hoppers is absolutely atrocious, we’re all starving for content
“We’re all starving for content” Please don’t put me in that, I’m happy with what we have and the updates are coming. Talk for yourself.
Weren’t you ignoring me? Please go back to your steps till you learn how to tune a car…
Oh excuse me lol happy you’re happy bud
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t appreciate the fact that A. there isn’t a spotlight series and B. there is ONLY ONE CAR YOU CANT TUNE in this spec series. Really boring week, especially since the open is a slow spec too.
Lazy isn’t exactly the right word here. I’ve been trying to get to grips with it in the horizon series and here too but I’m still quite far off. I’m at the point where if I get understeer I can lessen or I can make the car more/less stable, but I still can’t piece it all together for me cause like 5 different settings affect the same characteristic but slightly differently. Some people just don’t have the time for this stuff, they come from work and just want to chill and be relatively competitive but here’s Johnny with his tune that gets him 3 secs on everyone else/ is using the stock gt3 Audi which is just a simple P2W machine.
Same. I love it all drivers on equal cars. Its just a drivers race.
As far back as FM1 when drivers would argue about who was best we would all get in the same stock car and settle it. Fun times.
The cars aren’t stock. Tire compound, tire width, roll cage already make it behave totally different from stock. I’m not sure but there might be other upgrades as well. How is it messy? This Spec series is all about your racecraft if the lobby is clean. And it should be, since this game is about competition and equal setups make it so much more enjoyable.
Bro just mad he can’t download a meta tune with 22 inch rims and Forza wing to ruin the competition for everyone else.
Don’ t get me wrong man, i am 48yo, i work too and have a family but learning to tune a car takes way less time than leveling every cars you own.
I agree It takes some dedication but delivers way more sense of satisfaction than leveling cars…
I’ m far from being like Johnny with his audi, infact i’ m using a Ford gt in the gt spec series (the car i like more from a visual point) and i also won few races with It once i tuned It decently.
I never tried that audi but i can agree with your point of view in some way.
This 1 car you can’t even tune Is so unrealistic to me and boring.
Feels like this new game Is forcing me once more to drive stock cars other than career and leveling cars…
I play with a wheel and since i can’t tune the steering ratio and the force feedback strenght on downloadable tunes makes useless this practice for me… I tune cars myself.
You can tune your cars in 3 out of 4 current playlists man. That being said, not being able to tune your steering wheel settings on a spec/downloaded tune indeed sounds like a bad design. But otherwise the M3 series is perfect for pure competition. They just need to fix the safety and skill based matchmaking because it still doesn’t seem to work properly.
Ye they locked steering ratio and force feedback strenght specific per cars under the downloadable tunes so you can’t modify but honestly I don’t care so much, I think tuning a car is subjective, expecially using a wheel…
