Looking For Wheel With Analog Switches

I know its all relevant but I have what I consider a decent wheel and pedal combo.

Its one of the Thrustmaster combo sets that you can upgrade the base with different wheels. Although I have planned to upgrade the wheel with one of the Ferrari ones I am content with it.

Although I am content with the set, I broke my toe the other day. Its nothing serious, but it makes it impossible for me to use my foot pedals for the next several weeks.

I have thought of everything and so far I have not had any choice other than the controller, which I really don’t like for racing sims.

I know that one of the Ferrari wheels for the TM has analog switches but I can’t find one.

Does anyone know of a wheel that has analog switches? Mine has the sticks but that just doesn’t cut it.

I would prefer it have decent vibration and FFG but at this point I would consider anything.

Probably doesn’t help you much, but I know the Fanatec McLaren GT3 wheel has analog paddles which can be used for all sorts of things, one being a dedicated throttle/brake mode. Maybe there’s some 3rd party adapter that would allow it to attach to and be recognized by a TM base?

I was going to mention the same thing, that’s the rim I have for f1 games and the like. The paddles are indeed analog and could be used for what you need but I don’t really think an adapter is available, the whole set CSW 2.5 and rim would cost a wee bit used, more than what you paid for your set I’d imagine.

What kind of pedals so you have because if you have a 3 pedal set up you can just swap the clutch and throttle pedals and use your good foot.
Another option is if you have the thrustmaster e-brake which is analog and can be used as a hand throttle if you play on a pc. To spend hundreds on a rim to use a button for throttle is not really gonna work out the way you think it will.

Yeah, that’s why I said I don’t think it’s really going to help. It seems like any solution OP finds (other than simply swapping pedals, as mentioned) will be cost-prohibitive, considering it’s only needed as a short-term solution while their foot heals. If it were me, I’d either just suck it up and play with a controller, or find some non-racing games to play for a while.

Upgrading my whole setup to Fanatec is not out of the question.

That’s definitely a good Plan B and its something I would definitely consider if I can’t find what I’m looking for with Thrustmaster.

I’m always looking for better.

I started with similar flight controls and eventually upgraded to Virpil. So upgrading to Fanatec would by something I would probably eventually do.

To switch I would need/want something that worked for PC and PS5 as I play both regularly.

As far as switching the pedals I’ve tried that, and I may try it again.

Ok, well there are definitely options available should you decide to go that route with Fanatec. The key thing to remember with Fanatec is that compatibility with PS5 is dependent on the wheel base, whereas compatibility with Xbox is dependent on the wheel itself. In your case, you’d want to buy a PS5-compatible base and match it with an Xbox-compatible wheel, which makes the resulting setup (and any other attachments connected directly to the wheel base, such as pedals, handbrake, shifter, etc.) compatible with all three platforms as well (PS5/Xbox/PC).

Sounds good, I’ll start looking just to be prepared.

Plan A for now is TM but if that’s not an option I want hesitate to switch/upgrade to Fanatec.
