As stated in the topic.
I am currently looking for racing wheel (PC and XBox) where I can use the paddles to accelerate and decelerate.
So the paddles need to be customizable and analog.
From what I have seen, the Fanatec wheels might be a good choice but maybe there are other wheels around?
I will not use pedals since having tried and and tested 2 pairs (Thrustmaster T-SW or GT or whatever, G29 or G920 Logitech)
I just cannot get used to them - it’s way too different from pedals in a real car.
Anyone who uses a wheel only and who can give me some information/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
I am not into F1 sims, currently only racing Motorsport 7, probably going to check out some Rallye sims another time.
I think Fanatec wheel paddles are buttons, not potentiometers so don’t think they will work for you accelerator/brake… Your pedal issues might be due to not using one with a loadcell for the brake. I have old Fanatec Clubsport 1 pedals and they behave much closer to a real car; my understanding is the new generations are even better but it will cost you a lot more than a Thrustmaster variant to put together a good wheel/pedal combination.
Fanatec does have what you want but you are looking at a fairly big investment.
The least expensive option would be:
CSL Elite wheelbase $349
CSL Universal hub $349
Podium Advanced Paddle Module $179
So that’s $877 and you still have to source a wheel rim from somewhere, could be Fanatec but any automotive rim with a stock bolt patern should fit.
OT: Hi Skiwi how are you doing, long time no see.
