Can anybody out there with a racing wheel help me find a good setting for drifting…i owed my wheel for a few months now and still cant find a setup i like or makes drifting easier…i run 900dor and 100 ffb right now i want to stick with 900 dor for drifting, there are also settings you can change in the control panel what should i have it set to there??? Help please
For the difficulty settings, try normal steering (maybe move to simulation steering once you get comfortable drifting) and cosmetic damage (so your tyres don’t wear out). And of course manual or manual w/clutch and traction control and stability control turned off.
For the wheel setting, try setting all the deadzones to 0/100 exept for clutch (if you use manual w/clutch), set that to 20/80 (that’s just because I’ve found myself grinding gears a lot, and I just hate that sound). I’ve turned down the vibration to 0 because I just found the vibration extremley annoying, at least on the G920. Keep the FFB at 100 and try setting the DOR down to 540 (this helps a lot!) and when you start feeling more comfortable you can try turning the DOR up again.
And here are some tips and tricks:
Start out with a low BHP car, 300-450 BHP dependig on weight and grip (Toyota AE86 with fully built turbocharged stock engine, stock camshafts and sport tyres worked great for me)
No roll cage
Street/sport tyres and ca. 50 mm wider tyres in the rear
Try ForzaTune 6 on the app store (it costs a dollar or something, but it’s good to have if you don’t really know what to do with the tuning)
I’ve also found it a lot easier to drift with the hood view when using a wheel, and don’t know why, but it just works for me.
And remember, this is all just my personal prefrences and all of them might not work for you, so feel free to try different things. I hope this helped.
Ok im gonna half to give 540 dor a try…on your g920 is there any advanced settings you can change when you connect the wheel to a pc if so what are you settings there…for my thrustmaster tx there is a control panel tab in which i can set the overall ffb of the wheel along with other things like the periodic or something like that i forget but i think it effects the ffb of the wheel and the heavyness of the wheel when turning
I haven’t really been looking to much into it, but I don’t think that there is any advanced settings on the g920. I guess you can find some help on youtube though.
lol, I’m WedgedCookie btw
Ok thanks
