Logitech G920 Not Working Since XB1 Preview Program Update ** "FIX" Below **

**Not an issue with FM6!

So, I installed an update for my XB1 this morning and ever since, my wheel has stopped working. Basically I turn the xbox on and plug the USB into the xbox. Wheel calibrates itself, and the little light starts flashing on the front. When the calibration finishes the light stays on continuously giving the impression that the wheel is ready to use. HOWEVER, it doesn’t. The only function for the wheel is that the Home button works (The big X button) but there is no D-Pad functionality or any buttons working.

Sorry for posting this here rather than on a logitech forum, but the previous posts on the logitech site haven’t been any help!

Just wondered if anyone else has encountered the issue?

Btw i’m on the xbox one preview program, so we get some updates early as beta testers. Has anyone else got the update but encountered issues?

Thanks.

Unplug the wheel from the Xbox while the console is powered on, on the wheel press and hold the Xbox logo button, LSB button and the button opposite the start button (2 interlocking squares) and plug the wheel back in. (careful, the wheel will run through it’s calibration cycle immediately). It’s a bit of an exercise in dexterity if you’re doing it alone but my wheel did what your’s is doing the first time I plugged it into Xbox and after 20 minutes of searching online I found the above advice and it fixed it right up. I only had to do it once and after it fired up correctly every time. Hopefully that works for you.

Tried this mate, as followed the Logitech forums. Didn’t work out.

Fix: Turns out that the New XB1 Preview Program update does not support wheels. So there is literally no way of using a wheel if you have the latest preview update. The way of getting around this is to opt back into the existing xbox one preview program or out entirely. This will mean you have to uninstall EVERYTHING on your xbox. Sucks! But it will mean that you can use a wheel.

No, I’m using my wheel just fine, except it is a Thrustmaster TX. No need to uninstall anything. Just use the method as described in the Xbox One Hardware and Accessories forum on the beta site.

There are similar posts on this forum, too.

The known issues on peripherals are:
Racing wheels, musical instruments, and other similar peripherals cannot be used to navigate home or system dialogs.”

Care to share the method you are using?

FYI I just got my G920 wheel and it was unresponsive as well and this method did not work for me. I am running the xbox one preview program. However, I did run across this in the preview support forums and it did work. If you cannot access this link let me know and I will paste the text. But basically you need to use a regular controller while forza is loading to basically trick the xbox one into recognizing your wheel.

http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_early_access/update_preview/registration_support/f/4595/t/2052904.aspx

The method is:

“Make sure wheel is plugged into console and Use a xbox one controller navigate to forza 6 or say launch forza motorsports 6. dont push anything else until you reach the first load screen. Once that is up push and hold xbox button on xbox one controller and turn controller OFF. After that press A on your racing wheel this should ask you to select your profile. Turn on the xbox one controller select your profile by pushing A on the controller. You should now be able to use your racing wheel with forza.”

THIS IS ONLY FOR THOSE IN THE NEW XBOX ONE EXPERIENCE BETA!

You also need to turn that Xbox One controller back on after your wheel gets accepted or the wheel will eventually go to sleep. You will have to hit the joystick on the controller every 10 minutes or so to keep that from happening. Super annoying but it appears to be the only option at this point

If you have a Kinect you can say “Xbox go to Forza Motorsport 6” between races or “Xbox volume up/down” during a race to prevent dimming

About to try this now! If it works I will kiss you both.

Edit: It works  Thanks dudes!
