Unfortunately, there are a number of translation mistakes for the German Localization.
Here are some examples which should changed:
Tires: Please change “Soft” to “Weich”
Tires: Please change “Schwer” to “Hart”
Settings Keyboard and Input:
Menu Layout: Schnelle Aktion 1 - 4 (Quick Action Buttons 1-4).
Please change the corresponding input names: “Hoch vertauschen” change to “Navigation hoch” “Nach rechts vertauschen” change to “Navigation rechts” “Runter vertauschen” change to “Navigation runter” “Links vertauschen” change to “Navigation links”
Please also change the Menu Input “Umkehren” to “Rückwärts fahren”. (because “umkehren” means turn around.)
Settings > Audio: Please change “Spielermotor” to “Motor”.
If it means including the engines of other players then you could name it “Motoren”.
Settings (general): Please change the word “Eigen” to “Benutzerdefiniert”.
This expression is more common in this context. You can find this word in several menus e.g. Video Settings, Driving assistance etc… i have seen it in several menus of the game.
And please check why there is the function “Look backwards” and Image directly backwards". If I assign both buttons the results are identical.
Please have the German translation checked again in detail by your German Microsoft team! There is a lot wrong here. I’m sure i will find a lot of more localization errors in the course of time.
There are so many nonsense translation, I sometimes believe they don’t have a german localization team.
They just use a translation engine for the texts.
Melodie for tuning the car comes in mind first, when applying tunes popup.
Something looks wrong at the prompt when restart builder cup events.
Always wondering what replay I am about to watch.
Sometimes I think whoever german speaking translating or checking the translations, have no idea of games and/or cars and racing. Translations are not wrong, they are just out of the theme or context.
Did they use ChatGPT or google translate? Did they not hire actual translators for this game? Its not like this is a CRPG with thousand lines of dialogue. A good translator can probably translate the game in 2-3 weeks. The german translation is comically bad. Awful formating, weird choice of words and outright wrong stuff. They translated Rims with “Steuerräder”! The correct word for rims is “Felgen”. Steuerräder are used for boats! In english they are called helm if im not wrong. Steuerräder is also a literal translation of steering wheel (Lenkrad in german). It doesnt even make sense in a car context. Also the german woman that speaks before races sounds like AI with weird pronunciations. What the hell man.
We are closing out this issue. The developers have noted this issue as Fixed as of Update 6 on 03.11.24
