When it comes to multiclass racing, eg. IMSA/VLN/FIA WEC associations, fill race tracks with 50-60 cars. Nurburgring with even over 100 cars. This feature might become chaotic in public lobbies, but with private hosts, this could be a great feature to make multiclass races more alive!
Agreed +1 This would allow Community Leagues to grow and expand. In FM7 often times we cannot accommodate more people than 23 as in some leagues 1 slot is already taken up for someone driving the safety car.
Daytona, Indinapolis, Le Manss, all wil be amazing full of cars.
I va already seen 50 cars racing ina a Interlagos’ Event, Its name gold classic and have videos on YT
More than 24 drivers? Thats insane…
We need rolling starts with about 0.4 second between each driver. This would bloody overcome the lap1 carnage and also encourage drivers to practice and put in good quali laps because each position is worth much more on the grid! - how do I post this suggestion?! I cannot find a ‘new post’ button??
As much as cool this feature is, i don’t know that this is possible on xbox series X|S, well just imagine: 50 cars racing as closely as possible with ray tracing enabled at 4k 60fps! A top PC might make it but i highly doubt that xbox can make it (unless they: 1- turn off RT 2- downgrade graphics 3- downgrade resolution to 1080p on xsx and 720p on xss 4- bring fps down to 40 and finally… delete some assets (like monitors, crowds, cars that have parked at the side of the track, etc.
Im not an expert but I could live with lower resolution and no rt, when it would allow bigger racegrids.
But I think this Gen is to weak for something like that.
Lower resolution and no RT… i can’t except this. I’m sorry.
But more cars in race is possible on PC. 10th gen consoles should be as powerful as a 4090 graphic card.
Increase lobby capacity gradually with the use of premium servers, until we can reach 54 or 78 players in one lobby. Having a higher capacity will be very welcomed, if the connection reliability is the same or higher during this process. This premium server plans will be mostly used by tournament organizers and can open possibilities for small communities to merge and work together.
This can be a great tool of us to increase the level of competitiveness, realism and also with these servers considered premium and eSports oriented, connection latency can be reduced and have a more solid reliability so we can organize endurance championships with more ease.
Currently I’ve seen big communities such as Racing Haven having +140 drivers on Rhec season 2 where this can be a very nice addition, this of course will be the same case for TORA, P1R, MEA, PTG and DELTA, but I’ve also seen small and medium communities orginizing multiclass tournaments with 2 or even 3 lobbies.
If the plan is to increase lobby capacity for free, premium plans can also be an early access so we can acquire this feature sooner.
A hypothetical road map would something like adding a gold plan that increase the capacity to something like 30-32 players in a couple of months, and then the platinum server could work with 36-38 players, and then after a couple of months capacities can be adjusted along with the prices, or new server plans can be added with higher player capacity and the previous ones removed.
Im going to make a list of features with post links that can be implemented for these or any type of lobbies.
In conclusion, having these 54 and 78 player lobbies available, it would also be fine to have 6 free slots for both lobbies, so people can select roles like, hosts (maybe having more than 1 in a lobby, or having the ability to make anyone else a host manually), spotters, spectators, and casters. I will also create another post for this and link it here.
