It’s a little bit of both. I’ve been playing since Forza Motorsport 2, and painting since 3. I would love to share my stuff but not being on XBOX Live I don’t think I can. I am in no way shape or form as good as some of the painters I see on here, and as you can probably tell, I tend to gravitate toward the old school stuff. I think that simple yet effective paint schemes are best. I think the more elaborate paints schemes have too much going on and it takes away from the design. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are very nice, just not my forte.
I like your thinking. I like simple and effective paint schemes too, but sometimes, I go for ones that stand out with their visual elements or superb colour combos. Some of those are still simple, but some are more of a challenge. Like the Thomas the Tank Engine paint scheme from the #7 car from last year, which took a bit longer than I’d hoped for. I like a challenge, since they will always make you a better designer.
I hope you keep up your work, and down the line get a Gold membership so you can share your designs. I’ll pick up quite a few of them if you do!
if you could tell me what cars you used for bobby allison’s 1984 miller high life, joe nemechek’s 2006 US army, and alan kulwicki’s 1989 zerex cars, i would love to find them and use them on the track
