Hello everyone I recently got FM6 and the NASCAR expansion and while waiting on a friend to start a multiplayer game I discovered we can throw on old nascar paint schemes onto the new cars… Ive been searching for hours now trying to find it because I swear I saw it but it appears to be either that im crazy or its gone somehow HOWEVER does anyone know if the Oreo paint scheme DFale Sr ran at the Daytona Gatorade Duel races in 2001 is created and in game for download??? if so please tell me for which car it is, im going CRAZY.
I’ve not made the Oreo scheme as of yet but I do however have his Wrangler / Goodwrench paint scheme that he ran in the 1999 Winston Cup All Star Race.
It is shared on the #88 Nationwide Chevy; I’ve included a pic of it below:
Additionally, I’ve attached links to some of us NASCAR designers/ painters here on Forza. In regards to the painter’s & like Viper said in his post… SwedishThunder is THE BEST NASCAR painter in Forza & he’s the one who gave me a lot of guidance when I first started painting. A link to his thread is below:
Additionally you have NASCAR PAINTER who, obviously given by his gamer tag, is another who does NASCAR paint schemes; a link to his thread is located below:
Both SweedishThunder & NASCAR PAINTER typically do modern/present day NASCAR paint schemes. I on the other hand like to kick it old school & make paint schemes of years & eras from back in the day. A link to my thread is located below:
There are many great painters out there & there’s painters that are simply out of this world when it comes to talent. I gave you may name, SweedishThunder, & NASCAR PAINTER, because we are the only 3 that I know of that concentrate the vast majority of our efforts into making NASCAR paint schemes/ liveries.
I hope this post was helpful & please feel free to contact me with any questions… it can be about anything & not just paint schemes. I can race pretty good, tune pretty good, & paint pretty good… I’m basically a “jack of all trades, master of none” type guy.
Lou Slugnuts… as I stated in reply to your same statement on my personal thread… I know that the #3 decal is slanted the wrong way on the right side of the vehicle. I will also state that the #3 is slanted the wrong way on the right side on ALL of my Earnhardt Sr. designs. I know that Richard Childress wanted the slant of the numbers on the cars he owns/owned to slant forward instead of backwards (like the majority of car designs did). He did this because he wanted it to signify that the cars was pushing forward instead of falling back… faster instead of slower.
So, bottom line, my cars are “replica’ish” & I’ve always stated this. Regardless, a person can look at one of my designs and say… "hey, that’s Dale Earnhardt’s car … or … hey, that’s a Bobby Allison car … or … hey, that’s a Bobby Labonte car… etc… etc… etc…
There may be some errors in comparison to the original, in fact there WILL be errors in comparison to the originals, but I’m pretty sure by the number of downloads my designs get (especially my #3 designs) that the majority of folks are ok with these errors.
I’m not butthurt… but come on man, that’s almost like a public dis to continue to point out that the #3 is slanted the wrong way. If the OP doesn’t like my designs then that’s ok, I was just offering assistance & I create & share my paints for my personal & for the community’s enjoyment.
While accuracy is great, you never claimed to make 100% accurate designs. Rather semi-replicas.
Numbers are deceptively time consuming and difficult to make. Even something as “simple” as reversing a number takes quite a bit of time.
You’ve said before that Dale Sr is your favorite driver, so it’s obvious that you have the utmost respect for him. You didn’t leave the number “backwards” out of spite for him or something.
Lou brought up the number inaccuracy in your personal design thread, and you responded to him. He then brought it up again here, saying the same thing as before, even though you’d already responded to his critique in your personal thread.
I jumped in when I should’ve stayed out of it, as usual.
Lou basically said he’s no longer worried about the inaccuracy, meaning there’s nothing left to argue.
I love you long time!!! Thanks for jumping in… I’d do the same for you… [BREAKS OUT INTO SONG] [CROWD WAVES LIT LIGHTERS ABOVE HEAD]
I’ll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I’ll be there for you
I’d live and I’d die for you
I’d steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can’t say what love can do
I’ll be there for you
I work 65 hours a week. I don’t have time. I barely play the game. I’m sorry I said anything. I’m not trolling or trying to cause problems. Just pointing it out. As I stayed in outkast’s thread, these are awesome paints. No hard feelings.
MIND BLOWN… SMOKE POURING FROM EARS… Thanks brother, I’m going to give it a shot… with your message pulled up on screen so I can follow directions! lol Thanks again…seriously!
