I’ve been checking the new Hide & Seek leaderboard for the past few days and wonder how these players are earning so much XP, in Hide & Seek, so quickly? (Not suggesting foul play but there’s obviously something extra going on, other than just playing flat out all day.)
The current #1 player had 3,400,000 XP approximately 24h ago and now has 4,100,000 so an increase of ~700k.
When I played as seeker I could only earn ~4,000 XP and that was grinding skills best I could, plus 2 pings.
It takes about 7–8 minutes to play, including loading in and out. Longer if the hider goes to the full duration.
So if I want to earn 4.1M XP at that rate that’s 850 games. 1,025 x 7 mins (being generous) = 7,175 mins/ 60 = 119.5 hours. Game was only launched ~5 days ago ~ 120 hours, so that’s a LOT of games these people are doing earning a LOT of XP per game.
IDK, but if it’s legit then there is something I’m missing for hauling XP.
Any ideas/tips/secrets please? I just want to collect the badges ASAP.

It just looks like a lot of playing for those toward the top of the leaderboard. The xp can vary but 4k seems like a lower reward. You can get quite a bit more. This is as the hider but I was getting rewards around 7k to 8k usually. It might be time based or distance based, but I would try being as active as possible. If you are hider, the bar takes a lot to fill so if you let all 5 seekers get close, chase break them and run away.

The streak bonus does add up over time too. I think this was at over 130 games. It’s clear though that the top level-up badge is going to take a lot no matter what.

I should have realized this at the beginning. The xp is heavily affected by the distance traveled. It’s hard to tell everyone’s legitimacy since the number of others games is private.

this was always stupid with challenge cards, and it turned into a game breaking exploit.

A friend sent me this. He had no idea how he got so much.
If only the XP gains were consistent. We could all get these badges done and never play again. (It was fun for all of five minutes.)
