Does any one know if u get more xp for horizon open by finishing higher in the leaderboard or winning in playground games as a group because im trying to figure it out.
What happens if you try?

I have done some of it already which i am level 12 but i just want to know if there is a certain xp amount u get 
I haven’t quite figured it out but I am top 5. Not sure how many rooms I’ve completed today. I’m off the game til tomorrow so hopefully I’m still top 10 by morning

Only had a quick go at it as I have been working. My guess is they’ve just reintroduced the formula from FH’s pre FH4 i.e. Skill based. Drive clean, stay out the barriers and keep that multiplier going. Generally don’t drive like a tit and you will earn more xp and level up faster. I’m not saying you drive like a tit btw.
Short term players will level up pretty fast, long term players will endure hours of horizon open to be able to level up two levels lol. I tried once, not even finishing among the first three in three races i was able to level up not even one level… so, no thanks. Not going to stay for one more hour to be able to do it… thats insane.
If you cannot level up after doing a full round of Horizon Open, you have a problem or you might not have finished the final round where you get credit for your results. You should be able to easily level up one or two levels each time you do a full 3 events of Horizon Open even work lower finishes (at least initially).

Even jumping in midway will net you XP. You get a extra 5K whenever you actually win the room. It does seem to be a slight bit of FH3 and FH4 combined. I’m not entirely sure you get extra XP for clean driving or long skill chains but I suspect those play a role.
I’m nearly level 500, I’m not home so I can’t be exactly sure but my best guess is 485.
I sort of admire how you’ve managed to keep up your act for so long, how you’re seemingly never pulled up on it either is quite possibly the biggest mystery on this whole forum.
If anyone outside the forum regulars read this ignore everything you see from this guy both here and anywhere else, I’m at level 12 just from winning 3/3 races.
There is no way not winning butchers your XP to the point that you don’t move up a single level.

Just by playing a solo PGG Hoirzon open game i was getting 2 levels per completion but i guess u get more if u win a a team game and from me just doing drifitng and PGG im level 200+
15 minutes for 2 levels and u dont even have to try.
Yh racing is the best way to level espically racing S2 but my limit is S1 but im a pretty good racer but no the best so ill slowly make my way from level 200+ to level 1000 and see how long it takes
How much xp do u need for 1 lvl?
As i said, long term players need A LOT of xp to level up twice. Not even finishing 2nd, 3rd and 1st in all races, not even doing amazing clean skills or whatnot, will net you one whole level, way less two lol.
Short term players can level up even 4 or 5 levels doing it. Of course.
I dont know how you guys do it. If you actually do it… (that i dont think so).
Depends on your current level, of course, like in ANY videogame. As i said, if your current level is low you will level up pretty fast.
Didn’t we all started on level 0/1, when leaderboards came in this update? No matter if you did 1000000 or 2 races in series 5, you were at 0 for new horizon open leaderboards. At least that’s what I thought.
There was people on the leaderboard with over half million points, less than 1 hour after new update dropped.
Nobody can tell me that this isn’t rigged to the gills… or maybe they are just so good they get a whole separate scoring system.
The same issues that were ravaging Open before are still present, and there are multiple new ones as well.
I just wanted to get to level 100 so I wasn’t stuck with a stig helmet or a daisy icon…and I did it in B class grinding last night. I’m good now!

From my experience u earn 20k + 5k xp for a championship win which counts towards ure horizon open xp and im currently lvl 430 ish and need 7k per lvl for leveing but yh the lower u finish in the championship the less xp u get so i did the maths and u need like 8.2m for lvl 1000
I reckon that the lvl xp will go over 10k per lvl or just stay at 10k but if i keep playing i will know
I have to look a little closer to see exactly how much XP per level. I wanna say its 15K per level. I’m fairly sure i’ve jumped 2 or 3 levels after a full 3 race set.
I should hit level 700 tonight, i’m almost back inside the top 10 but 10th place is sitting at 5 million and that seems very very steep!
EDIT: I think it actually is 10K per level but the animation goes by so fast its hard to see if the number increases each time it slides across the screen!

I’m guessing it does increase over time, but as DaReo pointed out, the animation goes by so quickly its hard to tell whats going on. I dont really play a lot but I get on average one level per race.
Not that big of a deal tho, the badges artwork is 3rd grade level at best and the only one I would probably use is locked behind a game mode I loathe. The Skull/Gold Crown badge is just not worth 100 rounds of pgg.
