Anyone noticed this after the latest Update 11, AI Aggression has increased massively? They are divebombing from way back, and they seem to lost the awareness of nearby drivers.
They are turning into me blindly mid corners and doesn’t lift the throttle at all.
ALL DA TIME YOU NEED TO LEAVE DA SPACE
@FCR_BLadE need some answers bro what your AI doing man

The A.I. isn’t aware of the player at all. It never was, they stay on their line and that’s it. Everytime it seems they are aware that is nothing but a coincidence, simple as that.

Just like in FH5, when you try to pass them on the inside in a corner, they will always turn into you, because the suggestive line tells them to.

Yup, I noticed it too on difficulty level 5. Apparently that’s what T10 meant by “Fixed an issue where the AI would stay on a poor driving line for a long time” (from Update 11’s patch notes).
Now AI avoids the “poor driving line” by ignoring the player making moves on the inside so opponents no longer make weird evasive maneuvers causing them to leave the track… so now they ram the player even more often than before (although I noticed they’re still able to move aside and leave a little space for us from time to time).
So there was an actual issue and T10 tried to address it… but it just caused another (bigger?) issue in the process. I hope devs are going to further tweak the AI. And maybe even teach them to overtake other cars on straights one day

But some FH5 AI swerve wildly away from a human player’s car, like a scalded cat, right into another (usually me) trying to pass on the other side. It’s as if their radar only triggers one response, a huge over-correction regardless of what’s in the way.

This AI behaviour and overall speed is why I don’t play career or free play. Also why I don’t care for filling online lobbies with AI vehicles. The “non contact” technique makes them a bit faster but obviously you remove car placement and elements of race craft…

but god forbid you get in their line of vision after overtaking, they will have an aneurysm and brake for 5 seconds

I got so fed up with the AI that I turned collisions off.

Been racing vs the AI on LMU for a while now and just went back to give FM a go for the GT-R and start the fomo cup for the Vantage.
Had the AI set to 8 and drove my usual line defending into T1 as I am used the the LMU AI actually tucking behind if there is no room to pass or they know they will be at a disadvantage out of the corner if they send it on the inside, but forgot this is not the case on FM.
Had the inside line covered but got absolutely torpedoed by a car behind, so tried my best to go through the field of bumper cars getting sideswiped and rear ended on my way back up to the podium.
In another race I was right behind P1 for 5 laps, but on lap 6 it suddenly decided to brake on the racing line giving me a 2 sec penalty, got so annoyed by it I sent it into the barriers which gave me no penalty for some reason.
Now I just put the AI on level 1 so I can get the races done faster as I get zero enjoyment racing vs the AI on FM.

I think that is about 95% true. The only time I’ve observed that Forza Motorsport AI is aware of you is when they are directly behind your vehicle and you are precisely on their driving line. Other than that, your car doesn’t exist to AI cars. The “I” in AI is entirely missing from FM.

You can ghost the AI cars, which makes passing easier. Unfortunately they too can drive through each other, so designated AI Number One is about 7 seconds ahead at the end of lap 1 on any track, but they’re catchable on mid difficulty.
It’s really weird. If the AI is behind you the divebomb you, when they’re ahead of you they brakecheck you. There’s no in between.

The only way to play ai races is to turn off collisions, suddenly all ai drivers can keep up with u and don’t brake for no reason.
Tho depending on track and your car choice, level 8 still is just too eazy (even w/o soft abusing)
can you turn off ai collision in career races?
Yeah, it’s in settings under blind assist or something like that.
I’m doing all fomo races with collisions off
The A.I.
It’s definitely Artificial but, nothing is Intelligent.
These shenanigans aren’t limited to level 8. They ram you off the track in any level of difficulty, given the chance. And when turning, they all slow to a crawl while being followed. Not to mention they still go out of their way to trade paint with you, even if that means they lose a position to do so.
I take it, no A.I. improvements happened, or if Turn 10 did fix something; then, the updates didn’t take.

This! the AI is not aware of you at all and will actively try to kill you in the corners lol
Actually ai is always aware of u, it’s driving is just based on other players driving (all these divebombers, noobs and rammers). When u turn off collisions, suddenly all ai drivers are close to each other and can take corners quite fast, and don’t make mistakes, tho still struggle to be competitive in some races.
Whole idea of drivatars just sucks, why would I want to drive with ai trying to mimic other Forza players (rammers)…
Not anymore. That’s what T10 said about drivatars prior to launch:
[…] in Forza Motorsport we have evolved the Drivatar system to use machine learning. It no longer replicates the driving behavior of your friends; however, it still pulls in their cars, drivers and customizations
