I’ve completed every Lego challenge except for the DK from DK PR stunt. This one seems nearly impossible for anyone who is not a top notch drifter. I would think many average to poor to non-drifters will never successfully complete this challenge. The fact that they have locked the Lego Speed Championship behind completing all challenges means that a number of players may never make it to the championship event. This is extremely unfair to those players.
I am average at best drifting. I have managed to three star the Forest Corners drift zone a couple of times, and come painfully close several other times, only to crash and burn at the Hillcrest drift zone.
What makes this challenge even more infuriating is if you don’t successfully complete the second drift zone, you lose the successful completion of the first, and it’s back to square one.
I use the G920 wheel on Xbox which is not optimal, but I cannot use a controller to save my life. I’m looking for an AWD drift tune for any modern muscle car using a wheel that will work for this challenge. I know RWD is better for drifting, but with a wheel, RWD is for me uncontrollable.
This particular challenge is probably beyond the capabilities of inexperienced or weaker drifters and wheel users. It would be slightly more tolerable if the challenge could be amended so if you three star the first drift zone and fail the second, the player only has to retry the second one. Don’t make players start all over again.
Try using rewind before you finish the 2nd
Thanks for the tip Talby. I finally got this challenge but only after being saved by a rewind. I used my own S1 tune with the 2018 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5 if any wheel users want to give it a try. I found S2 tunes just too powerful to control with a wheel for this challenge. The time limit on the second drift zone compounds the difficulty of this challenge ten fold.
Even though I finally succeeded, I haven’t changed my opinion that this challenge is far too difficult and unfair the way it is set up. After I finish patting myself on the back for completing this awful challenge, I’m going to be having a very stiff drink to cure my headache…
Hi, I’ve just shared a tune for the 2018 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5. I completed the DK from DK challenge first time with it, getting around double the 3 star scores. I can’t vouch for it with a wheel, as I find FH4 unplayable with a wheel, but with a controller it was very easy to 3 star both zones.
I see that car was a seasonal reward - if you don’t have it, I’ve just also shared a tune for the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500. It has less power, so I used 3rd gear with that vs 4th with the RTR, but I got scores within around 10k of what I got with the RTR.
Thanks for sharing the Shelby tune for the DK to DK brick challenge. After spending an hour trying to get this last brick I used your tune with the Shelby and I got it on the first try. Kept the car in automatic even.
The tune/upgrade by breeminator certainly works.
I’ve just spent half an hour doing this and was about to give up when things went well and I exceeded the target on both zones easily.
Used the 2018 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5 with tune/upgrades by breeminator and DUBSmb.
Obviously traction should be off and manual gears. Since I used to struggIe with the shorter zone (75,000) I also experimented with going uphill, downhill, leaving stability control on, ABS on/off, normal/simulation steering. I sometimes spun, ending up facing the wrong way or went off the road into the trees. 3rd gear worked best for me. Thank goodness it’s completed. I’ve now got 3 challenges to do before the final race.
Glad you got it and good luck with the last three challenges…
Finding a good tune is essential for the likes of you and me
For others struggling, if you’re lucky enough to have a Hoonigan RS200, this will blast around the drift zones. Stick it in manual, traction control off, and keep it in 2nd, and sometimes 3rd gear.
Should repeat that in BOLD. TCR Off and 2nd gear all the way makes it simple for us that dislike the drifting.
I have never played manual I dont even drive a manual in real life so its not soemthing that im craving or feeling like I lack. Its a bit much if only players who play in manual mode can access something as mundane as the last race. Min maxing the game should only be required for outright completionists. Not just to see the last bit of content. basically means I paid full price (for ultimate) yet because im not a min maxer i still dont even get to access everything?
BIG difference between that and something like doing a mmo raid on easy vs doing the same mmo raid on hard mode - you can still enter the raid encounter. However, if I need to 3 star stuff or chain epic mad drift zones… well I cant Im a below average drifter with 1 star zones and I dont do manual gears so I guess… awesome
For most challenges I use automatic but if a car has been tuned and designed to drift in a particular gear, I’ll usually go along with it. It’s not really driving a car in manual. You simply put the car in whatever gear the tuner recommends before entering the drift zone and keep it there.
If my set up resembled real life, i.e. a wheel, a gear lever, pedals for clutch, brake and accelerator and a proper driving seat, I might try driving manually in Forza but until then automatic is my preferred option for most events.
I really don’t understand this…
Practically every game requires you to get good/better to progress…
I drive an auto …I don’t drift in real life… But I learned how to do it in forza in manual …I enjoy it now
I don’t tune my cars in real life… Interesting to do it in forza …I have quite a few tunes now
Hey ho different strokes and all that…
thats why they have high level challenges that give out exclusive cars. now a player has to be in the upper echelon just to access a basic race event. which is different to a top tier challenge to win an exclusive car.
Do you see me complaining that i cant win the elite challenges like seasonals and the like, I played FM7 too and while I took part in several of the rivls challenges I only got 1 or 2 cars. Thats because I wasnt enough to beat the times. Yet i had access to every single player race event. Theres a difference. Im not asking to be given all the exclusive top tier challenge rewards. But the single player stuff shouldnt be locked to the top end only
Also FH isnt even at the same level of “reality” as Fm. Though I think that having these seasonal challenges and events for the top players is good as it gives them something to aim for and compete against others in
1 more thing, drifting doesnt help racing, why should a player have to become good/better/great at drifting to unlock a race they can do by themselves? Maybe if it required setting a specific lap time on another, or a series of race events that would make sense, the challenge would equal the reward. But because im a 1 star drifter i cant do a race event?
Auto works fine was trying last 3 drift stars for months in manual switched to auto same car and tune cleared them all back to back.
Thanks for sharing your tune breeminator, got it first try with your tune.
Thank you, breeminator.
I could finish it with your tune for GT500.
bmw 98 drift car get god drifting tune near end of tunes
no traction no stability
I am an awful drifter and I managed to do it. First relax, it’s not 1 minute to complete both, you finish the first one than you have a minute for the second. I probably used a formula drift, much easier.

Awful drifter? Me too, but I got through this without any bother. I think I used a Ford Falcon which I’d modded to see how well it would drift. It worked! I went back to the mainland and tried some drift zone that’d kept defeating me. Didn’t work at all.
I think that whole one-minute thing is misleading because it sounds like you have to do both within that time. I realised they meant a minute per zone.
Actually, the worst brick challenges were the trading paint and threading-the-needle skills which took me forever.
Anyway, all done, and I have a rather missable statue for my efforts.
The 20 Showoff skill were a pain as well.
