i just feel this game should be steered more in the direction of race pro in the next gen, than project gotham…
but i understand that making money is the key note in the video games industry now (I.E. Call of dollar signs and EA money maker 20whatever), hence the reason why we don’t have the tracks that have been in the game since its inception…
i also understand that game developers get pressure from many different angles to meet unrealistic deadline, that the public gets to pick apart and condemn…much like a malice act in the line of duty, split second to react and an eternity to analyze it…
one thing i won’t apologize for is wanting to feel like i actually got more than just faction of my moneys worth…especially with games/dlc being more expensive than its ever been…im sure you guys remember when you used to get something for being a VIP that made it worth having…
but hey, how am i? im not a forum troll that gets to decide the fate of one of the best racing franchises of the last couple generations of console gaming…im just a loyal customer that still believes that eventually someone will get their rectal cranium insertion looked at, and hit the reset button…so maybe this franchise can be saved from the same fate that was bestowed upon gran truismo in the last generation…

Nope. Its not an issue. Its yours, and whomever else’s issue. Practice, get better, get faster.
Changing, or adding leaderboards isnt going to change anything. Top of the boards will be the top of those boards, and any other you can think of.
It doesn’t seem to me that this issue is anything but you wanting to be higher on the leaderboards…somewhere…in something. Go to Forzastats.com and filter cars, find one that suits your needs and filter to it. You could add a leaderboard for driving a shopping cart the fastest and guess what? The top guys would still be there and you won’t be…until you improve your own skill. To me this can be the most rewarding part of the game. Improve your tuning, your driving, your builds. You will eventually find yourself on the boards where you would like to be. Practice.
I don’t think that there is one perfect racing game out there, to be honest bud. I think it all comes down to what you want out of the game in question and what you want in your experience overall. I think Forza gives a lot of options for creativity to an extent, but there are shortcomigs which I won’t detail here as this is not the type of thread for that. GT on the other hand, does not give the end user much in the way of creativity, but makes up for it in other areas.
I think that with surrounding yourself with the right people, you can get most of what you want out of Forza.
I still agree with your original idea, but the fact that some of your times have run pretty high on the boards without LB cars, I think that you are somewhere within that happy medium.

What would be involved in changing the leaderboards to have a functionality to filter by car in addition to track and class? The more I play this game, the less interested I am in playing leaderboard cars and playing with people who play with leaderboard cars. Sometimes it’s a challenge but, their driving behavior appears to be very reckless. Leaderboard car drivers appear to only care about winning. They tend to smash into other cars, cut corners and ride walls.
Perhaps if we could filter by car on the leaderboards, people might be more motivated to drive other cars.
So would that mean that any one player can set multiple times on a track leaderboard where the best time for each car would be recorded?
If the answer is yes, then the leaderboards would still show the best drivers at the top of the leaderboards for each car on each track.
If the answer is no and everyone could still only set one lap time per track (in the car of their choosing) than all the best drivers will continue driving leaderboard cars to hit the top of the overall leaderboard. Car-specific filtering will be meaningless because you’ll never be comparing non-leaderboard times against the top drivers. Which, to me, seems to defeat the purpose of the leaderboards.

If you see aggressive players “BLOCK” them so you will not be matched with them in the future. Also drive clean so you get matched with clean drivers in the future.
The people who are focused on winning switches cars to match the track and cannot be controlled nor it should be. Drive clean + blocking undesired players will eventually lead you to better racing lobbies.
God forbid anyone uses the correct tool for the job. damn. I thought this was a racing game.
