Online Leaderboards

Bring back the ability to see the leaderboards online on the forza website. There is a hidden link for the forza website that has the leaderboards for forza 4 and 5. Not that many people no about it. The board currently not functional but it’s there to check out. Please fix the leaderboard on forza website Turn10 Forza.net: The official website of the Forza franchise

It’s been asked for before and not likely to happen, sorry.

Would love this as well.

What I’d like to see is all my best lap times for each car I’ve driven on a given track. It seems that once I beat my best time it erases past times so I can’t see my times for my other cars on the same track. Maybe there is a way to do it… or at least they could keep my best times in each division.

That would be quite a large leaderboard with about 450- 500 cars and up to 6-7 different classes per car as well as each track and its variation
Be nice but don’t think it would happen due to its size

That was a glorious feature called local leaderboards last seen in FM2 if I recall correctly. So they have done it before albeit with a smaller car and track list so not sure how feasible that is nowadays.

Yeah would love to see the leaderboards back on the website - would make hot lapping more competitive again ala Forzastats.

Dont think it was for individual cars though
I still have forza 2 so will check when i get home
Don’t know why they took away the online leaderboards though
I’m happy with class and track
Overall times was a nice feature though

I’m sure if you went on a track on the old leaderboards on FM2 one of the filters was called Local Leaderboard (may be wrong about the name) it would view your quickest few times in different cars for a particular class.

Modern alternative I guess is to make a spreadsheet!

That was my thought… but it would nice to be able to click on a car and see it’s best times. maybe not make it available to everyone.

There wouldn’t be a single person who took every car to every layout in every class. The amount of data really wouldn’t be that terrible if you average it out. If you just had them track every lap, you could probably estimate the averag person has run maybe 500 laps which would be about 25 hours of just driving time. Yes most here have driven more than that, but that’s not the average. Figure 100 bytes of data for each lap to track sector times. So we’re talking 50KB of data. Even if we go to an average of 500 hours per user and 1kb per lap which is completely unrealistic, it’s only 10mb of data per user. That’s not that much data and the cost in the cloud is probably around a penny or two of cloud storage for the life of the game.

Somebody created a site back in Forza 4 where you were able to enter your times for each car you drove on any given track. It didn’t really catch on and there weren’t many users. It was pretty cool but it became tiresome having to manually scroll through selecting car, class and then track and then putting in your time.

This exactly. When you spend time getting a non leaderboard car to perform to get in the top 50/100 it’s not really providing an incentive to use another car which is naturally quicker to lose all the work invested to achieve the initial result. Haven’t been game to try and see if the time stays in division if the quicker time set in another division.

Exactly… I got the very top time for the SUV division using the Macan… I forgot what track it was. I was happy and then the next car I used on the same track was the 718 and of course I beat it. So now I can’t find my top time using Macan. This makes the leaderboard for that division wrong unless people use only used the one car per track.

The Leaderboard only records 1 time per class, per track layout regardless of Division. The Division spot on the Leaderboard is not really useful because it only refers to your fastest time on the layout in that class.

My solution has been pen and paper or taking a picture of my screen to remember what cars are good even though they are a little slower than the top 100.

I disagree. I actually think the division is a truer indication of tune/driver ability as (hopefully) the cars are more evenly matched. I guess we can all go for leaderboard cars and make tracks a one car trick special but I personally would lose interest very quickly in that( that’s where leagues come in to cater for that experience). Some tracks I’m in the top 2 or 3 times in division yet 4 or 5 seconds off the class leaderboard leaders. Will I get a leaderboard car and go for the overall time… personally no because my car /tune has matched it with division leaderboard cars and I think that should be recognised.

rsr timing

I find this companion app to Assetto Corsa pretty interesting… It would be nice to see something similiar in the forZa franchise. However, in my opinion I’d say they’ll probably delete leaderboards all together in the next iteration of Forza. Seems to be the direction the franchise is heading sadly. Hotlapping doesn’t quite fit into the vision of Motorsport.

Yet another feature from earlier Forza’s gone. It seems earlier versions had far better and useful features.

Yeah teacups, now that I think about it I want all the best times on there. Like if someone like Racerboy got a 1:34 best time using one car and that’s his single best time I get curious what other cars he’s driven and his best times using those.

I could not find any information on the leaderboard for FM6.
Anyone working on it? Date FM6 release was in September 2015. Well, now it’s April 2016.http: //www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/leaderboards I can “only” choose between FM4 and FM5. Cheers!
