With Lancia returning to Forza Horizon 5, I would like to hear some improvements from previous games. The engine sound of the Lancia Delta S4 - while certainly a decent attempt from the sound team - leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t capture the unique beauty of the Delta S4’s engine. It lacks the supercharger’s whine at low RPMs, and the aggressive blowoff valve ‘PSHH’ upon releasing the throttle.
My suggestion, is to replace the engine base sound from the “1.6L I4 - Turbo Rally” engine that it’s using, to the same engine sound found on the Peugeot 205 T16, already found in-game. It is a better representation of the distinctive Inline-4 sound the Delta S4 creates, but if the Forza team wants to go the extra mile, I would also add the following sounds that are already recorded and present in the game:
*adding the blowoff valve sound found on the Iron Knight engine swap (12.8L I6T Diesel 2400BHP)
*adding one of the many supercharger whines to the engine sound itself (I would suggest baking it into the engine sound files instead of relying on the supercharger modification actually being present)
These changes would boost the sound design of the Delta S4 to be more realistic and unique, something lacking in the current state it’s in.
