Lacking Things To Do

Don’t get me wrong, besides the amount of issues going on with the game, it’s designed nicely, but does lack things to do, unlike previous Horizons.

Once all of the races & stories are complete and whatever other objectives you wish to complete, there’s not a lot to do. For example…

Previous Horizons, more so 2 & 3 had many stunt areas & drift zones. Construction sites, log mill, shipping docks, ship wreckage below Surfers, drift zones in FH4… but Forza Horizon 5 just doesn’t really have much. The stadium I’m finding pointless, unless they had made it a proper stunt arena permanently. Two large circular crop farms that take up a lot of space of the map that could have been something more interesting & gave us something to tear up.

I had the same feeling when I first played FH4 and and that’s basically what it turned out to be. Same thing seems to be occurring again. Little disappointed.

I feel like 4 was the same way. Removing custom championships removes so much from the endgame. Horizon tour is some replacement. It’s not a good replacement, but it’s better than nothing. We were having fun in it last night.

I’m a little disappointed with that & the lack of story in FH5. It feels like the game was rushed, besides the graphical side of things.

I’d argue there’s more story in this one than 4 and 3 combined. I’d say Forza Horizon never really had story to begin with, but I never played the first two, being Xbox exclusives.

This one has got way more story than 4, albeit the difficulty level overall (excluding the odd hard one) has been reduced.

As to lacking things to do, have you done all the Accolades? I can see those alone keeping me occupied for some time, especially the Point to Point ones…have already found one that I am not sure I can beat

As above, Accolades are basically achievements. Races, stunts, photos & so on. I’m talking generally playing the game itself once a lot of that is ticked off.

How about racing in multiplayer? That used to the point.

Seems to me there’s plenty to do. My main problem right now is, every time I’m done the thing I’m doing, and trying to decide what to do next, I’ve got a massive buffet to choose from.

Now, I’m sure that will change as the game ages, but for the time being, it seems to me to be right in the sweet spot; Lots to do, and the important weekly scheduled stuff is available early, so there’s no pressure to rush through any of it.

I’m talking in terms of what’s on the map & outside all of the races & achievements.
