The bad graphics?
They fixed the Loot Box design, which the entire game was designed around? That would cost them millions. But oh well…
They fixed the awful Wheel input lag?
They finally fixed the unusable (literally) Microsoft Store downloader?
You got the game refunded. You make these refund topics for what? If you lot are done with Forza why stay here creating needless threads? Everyone has a different opinion of the game. We get it you guys hate it but the same regurgitated refund topics keep popping up. What do you want the community to say? Congratulations? Acknowledgement? You’ve made your point to Turn10/MS as best you could by getting a refund. We shall see how they respond in time.
Who cares? Let him get it out. There are tons of needless threads and posts by people that think they have something profound to say. Like yours and now mine.
PSA - maybe somebody bought the game and feels they wasted their money or is planning on buying and will have this side to consider along side the people like the game.
2nd: As a show of how disappointed many customers are in hopes that if enough do the same maybe Turn10 will feel it’s profitable to alter the game in a patch to make it worth while to purchase in the future.
finally, because they’re extremely frustrated with Turn10’s job and creating the game and communicating with the community.
Any or all of these are more than reasonable motives to post.
If people don’t say why they refunded how are Turn 10 supposed to address the issues? It also helps prospective buyers have a better idea if they should buy it or not.
Exactly right. Also, if someone is on the fence about doing a refund and is unsure of how to do it or has questions, these would be the topics to ask in.
I will say, if anybody is thinking about a refund, the time to do it is now. I have a feeling after they start to review how many have been granted, they might start making it harder to get one.
Good for you and the gaming community, Op. Hurting company’s pockets it’s the only way we have to tell them their products sucks. I did the same with halo wars 2 ultimate I paid 80 bucks preordered after a serious bug that reset all my progress and the not-so-clear season pass content. I’m with You , op. MS games are going downhill with his cash-grabbing policies and half cooked products
On a size 34 waist pair of jeans and exchanged for 36. This is due to the insane amount of hours playing Forza 7 career. Best Forza yet… for my needs which primarily evolve around single player.
And should this actually happen, then I’ll repurchase.
The lack of class based rivals (and even division based rivals for each ribbon) is the reason I refunded. I didn’t want to, but with no word from Turn10, I have to stand up for myself as a consumer. This is not what I expected when I bought Forza 7. I expected Forza 6 with some extra cars, and some new features like better weather. I did not expect to be shafted on VIP, have maybe 50 to 100 cars locked behind an indeterminate system (even after ranking up the collector tier) and no rivals.
Same here. There’s a number of issues I have with FM but was prepared to suck it up, then to see the hotlappng features tossed out the window haunted me like the removal of public lobbies. The game because a SP only for me…so $150 CDN$ for a few hours of decent game play? Refund for me… I’ll probably buy it used for cheap when someone else gets fed up with it and there’s a ton up for sale online… I’ll drop $20 on it for what it is in its current state.
I’ve seen the question as to why I posted about receiving a refund so here is the answer. Until I read about another player receiving a refund and how they did it I hadn’t even thought it possible to do so with a digitally pre ordered game. I felt that there may be others in a similar situation as I so I posted in order to let them know that it can be done. I did not take any great pleasure in requesting my refund or posting about it afterward. To be honest it felt a little like having to put down my favorite dog because he was too lame to survive. I felt a little sick to my stomach because I have loved Forza over the years.
I bought the Ultimate edition and found that along with a few kinda cool cars, “Ultimately” it was only the ultimate edition for about 25 races, if you know what I mean… think credit boost. Gone are the Class based Leader Boards (a part of the game where I would spend hours upon hours chasing ghosts…) gaming Nirvana for me… No more. That and other issues with the PC version (Not necessary to have for me since I have my Xbox but it would have been nice to be able to tool around with it on there if I chose, but I was unable to get it working on my very capable gaming computer).
So if you want to try for a refund simply contact Microsoft Support online. That’s what I did and the entire affair took about 5 minutes, piece of cake. I don’t think anyone is stupid or gullible for buying or keeping the game if they truly enjoy it. I do however feel that I would be stupid if I kept it. $99 is a lot of money to spend for something I won’t play regularly nor enjoy.
Same here, ive brought every forza game for xbox, i have purchased ultimate editions for at least the last three games and never felt shortchanged until now and the micro transactions in this game are to much for a full priced game. We saw the begining of this in forza 6 with high car costs and low prize money to force you into buying tokens. Id expect to see this from a free to play game not a full price game like this.
