Well, considering they added more eventlab parts and rims, I canât complain. Although, it was quite funny when I heard; âumâŚ.letâs see if I can find themâ
Donât care about the 800. Never really use these types of cars in game. Love the rest.
To be blunt, Kelly Boyle looks completely dis-interested in being a part of these streams. She always has this âwhy am I here?â look. Not sure of all the things sheâs in charge of but doesnât seem to be to engaged.
Torben is always great and Chris shows a lot of enthusiasm for cars (real world applications).
The Toyota Sports 800, while a very cool car, is not a kei car. At the time of its creation, kei cars had to have an engine size no greater than 360 cc â the Toyota is over twice that. Even current regulations limit cars to a displacement of 660 cc, so it wouldnât even qualify now. At 3.5m (11.7 ft) long, itâs also too large to be considered a kei car. Just had to get that off my chest.
I expected at least that theyâll have donut media part 2 here. Woudlve fit the theme. Also i feel like expansion 2 mightve gotten delayed. Since they hyped up series 17 as big and it doesnt seem to be big at all. More like a regular festival playlist update.
So thereâs a âgame fixesâ section⌠but still no mention about loading times, lagging menu, stuttering, or even dashboard of Lamborghini SianâŚ
But I suppose some folks will be happy with this Fixed an issue with the Horizon Promo list where an incorrect version of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG One was displayed
Oh come on, they canât be serious. They âpatched inâ this bug in the beginning of November.
The fact that a bug that big and that obvious got past their probably non-existent QC team should be baffling enough. But that they didnât do anything about it for FOUR MONTHS is just beyond meâŚ
If they do not fix the menu lag and single race loading issues in this update then they should just call it quits. It is absolutely unacceptable for an AAA title to have a MAJOR NEW bug introduced and then ignored. Itâs bad enough when the game launches with tons of issues but to ACTIVELY create a MAJOR NEW issue and then act like they donât care to UNDO that crap, thatâs beyond the pale.
My guess is that sheâs just extremely uncomfortable in front of a camera.
Itâs just another aspect of the amateur hour that is PGG. They have tons of users expressing the sentiment that they just donât seem to care about their product anymore, then lose several major team members to greener pastures, and their solution is to keep an employee, who maybe excellent at her job yet misplaced in front of a camera, in these cringy live streams next to a guy, who may be good at his job, but canât be bothered to find the new rims heâs supposed to demonstrate and good olâ Torben, whose resume is likely earning frequent flyer miles as well these days.
I want to see a behind-the-scenes interview with Leahviathan dishing out the dirt on how this clown show is run. Now THAT stream would get a bunch of views from us.
Iâm not sure, this issue doesnât bother me but I remember there was a lengthy discussion about Mercedes AMG One Forza Edition on the forum⌠somewhere
ha, yes, itâs that alright, purple background, white text, what has happened is the background is now white but it fades at a different rate from the text when leaving the screen so itâs still possible to read âForza Editionâ even now
None of the added cars are bad, except to say that the MR2 and Galant should have been included in the game from launch.
The new event lab props would be nice too. I canât wait to see some of the better creators like DJS make some great tracks with it.
But what really excites me is the new rims.
In recent years I thought Forza was only interested in fifteen52, ADV.1, and rotiform, and even if ânewâ rims were added from other brands, I thought they would only be the latest rims like Work in FH5.
However, there have been some classic rims added that are no longer manufactured today, but are still fan favorites, like the Advan AVS Model 6 and the Super Advan SA3R.
The addition of these rims is, of course, a welcome addition, but in other words, this means that when they do similar updates in the future, we may expect to see the addition of classic rims from other companies as well.
There are many legendary rims like the BBS RS (not Super RS) and OG O.Z Rally that are no longer manufactured but are still loved by fans. We hope that such rims will be added in future updates.
Copy that but AudibleJam509 was talking about Kelly Boyle (senior game designer), not the host Leahviathan.
Kelly is the one that may be really good at her job as game designer but is clearly uncomfortable and misplaced in front of a camera, yet PGG could not care less.
Yeah, would have to agree with that, to a pointâŚ.but there has been times where it doesnât seem that itâs a camera issue but more of a âletâs get this out of the way, i canât be bothered with this.â issue.
I didnât even get that with Mike Brown, or anyone else. Maybe youâre right but if thatâs the case then it has to be an upper management decision. I donât think anyone would be forced to be apart of this stream. She probably volunteered, which is fine.
The other factor is, all the other typical participants have left. Iâm definitely not saying that anyone âisnât good at their jobâ (to clarify). Itâs more of an audience perception issue for me.
Maybe it just doesnât matter and PG really is bringing the Horizon franchise to a close in the near future. I hope not. As Torben said, eventlab is âone of my favourite featuresâ and now that I have my series X, I can actually enjoy it. Future horizon games might expand on this feature but I just donât get that feeling that horizon is going to continue for years to comeâŚ.and part of that comes from the streams and the associated attitudes.
The hosts are fineâŚ.and are probably paid well. Certainly gives them exposure. Theyâre doing the job I expect and acting accordinglyâŚ.but they still struggle to keep their enthusiasm with this gameâŚ.and I donât blame them for that.
While I understand how some people can look uncomfortable or seem disinterested in front of a camera, many of us (I assume) have been in situations either at work or in private where you have to âfakeâ enthusiasm in front of others. For a while I worked at a number of call centers, where you have to use your voice to portray empathy or joy (depending on the situation). I have also done a few live streams on YouTube and donât necessarily feel comfortable âon cameraâ but once the conversation starts I tend to forget that it is even there and proceed.
Now this isnât to judge her or anyone else, but if it is so evident that people on here have made notice of it, it (in my perspective) has become a problem. Streams like Lets Go and Forza Monthly are where you need to put your best foot forward and at least make it look like you actually âenjoyâ what you are doing, even if only to placate the masses watching.
