Is the January DLC getting released tomorrow or the Thuesday after?

Commen sense would have said today seeing that’s how the DLC schedule has been for past forza titles. Since I seemed to have missed the stream where this was said my bad. I was just curious where it was said cause the only place said was in a live stream and nothing in the 2017 final WIR or any other news article from last week. so common sense doesn’t work here bud.

Common sense does apply only because yesterday was a holiday. Many people in the business world aren’t working today and even more were not working yesterday. Basically treat today as a Monday. I’m sure there is a process that has to be followed before release (hence why Tuesday is chosen) so any DLC woukd have to wait until the 3rd best case. Given that many will take off all week, common sense would lead you to next week as a probable release.

When did he say this, im sure they wouldnt keep an expansion hidden for this long from us. It’s probably an expansion since it’s not on the first tuesday of the month, unlike most other dlcs. They did the same with horizon 3, although they also put out a car pack in the SAME MONTH as the expansion, at least for blizzard mountain.
Forza Motorsport 6’s first expansion didn’t come until late Feb/early March. The Horizon expansions are typically released earlier around December.
Like I said more tracks are needed in the next DLC !!!
At what point in the stream did he announce it then? As it was a 3hr stream and would possibly take less than a minute to answer it.

I thought DLC were released every first Tuesday of the month, this is false advertising. Smh.

Considering this was a major holiday weekend and they are more than likely just coming back from vacation, it seems reasonable to push DLC forward, does it not?
These car packs were made months ago. That’s how DLC works now. You really don’t think they’re working on the cars for the next 2 weeks, do you?

Not really.
You don’t push releases of DLC due to holidays normally, usually because that’s exactly when people want them.
You also work on a release for way longer than a month anyways (3-4 months at least, running multiple DLC releases offset and in parallel), meaning that you can set up the release BEFORE going on vacation, basically just waiting for it to release at the right time.
The approval and submission time alone takes several weeks, so that would have to be ready anyways for it to release on the 16th, unless they’re slaving during Xmas :-).
I’d have to give them that, while it has annoyed me, being released technically late in the month, it was a special weekend period, so forgivenesses are in order_ _ _ but let’s drop the inane drivers gear, they are taking over the game as far as crates are concerned. Come one, seriously, what real racing purpose do they achieve. This is NOT Gears Of War, or COD or any other style of war game that costumes are part-n-parcel of the games persona.
Drop them or at least offer them as prizes, but put bloody cars back into the crates at fair and reasonable prices - please.
