I've Found a Glitch

No, this isn’t the glitch that I posted a video on in FM5. Which still works in FM6 and you can watch it here: Forza 5 - Paint Trick Tutorial - YouTube

This is totally different, and, quite annoying.

Anyways, this glitch involves the “Manufacture Colors” section and the “Previous Colors” section.

I’m going to do a step-by-step tutorial to show you what I’m talking about:

1. Get into any vehicle

2. Go to the “Customize” tab and select “Paint Car”

3. Select “Paint” then “Paint Body”

4. Now go the “Manufacture Colors” tab and select any of the colors provided.

5. Save and back out

6. Go select a different vehicle other than the one you just painted

7. Do steps 2 and 3 again

8. Go to the “Previous Colors” tab and choose the “Manufacture Color” you just painted onto the other car.

9. Save and back out

Now, once you’ve completed these step, go “Race” or “Test Drive” the car you’re in.

When you’re in the race, the color is the one you picked from “Previous Colors”

Once you quit and come back to the main menu, the color is gone and the game changes the paint to a different color.

I’m not sure as to why, but my guess would be that because the color isn’t a stock manufacture color for that car, the game freaks out, and changes it to a different color.

I’ll post pictures if you’re not sure as to what I’m talking about

This is me going through the step I stated above.

For this I’m using the Pontiac Solstice and the 2014 Golf R

  1. Stock Yellow “Manufacture Paint” for the Solstice

  2. The yellow “Manufacture Paint” from the Solstice on the Golf R

  3. Golf R in “Test Drive” on Monza with the yellow paint still on it

  4. Returning to the main menu to find the color has changed to the Golf R’s stock blue.

I never tried it on the Golf R before so I didn’t know it was going to change to Blue. I did it with the Supra and it changed to Grey.

^^ Bump. I’ve updated the OP, and the Reserved post to a photo by photo explanation.
