Cars - Volkswagen Golf R 2022 - mirrors not being paintable despite "Paint Body" painting them over

Bug Info: When painting the Golf R in Forza Horizon 5, for some reason the color you select will paint over the mirrors.
Platform: Windows PC (but may apply to other platforms)
Edition: Premium with Super Speed Car Pack
PC GPU: RTX 3060
Settings: Mostly Ultra, with a handful of settings in High
Attempted fixes: Done them all with the usual restart and integrity check
Content Update: Happened when the Golf R was added into Horizon back in Series 26

This is the manufacturer colors which have the matte chrome exterior mirror housings
