Here is something to try guys . I tuned the Ford Ka for E class and took it for a spin round Sedona . It suited the club circuit best tbh , so thats where this challenge will take place . I managed 1:25:841 so thats your target time . The challenge will run for 3 weeks from today although i am happy to add another day or so for any late entries .
Usual rules apply . With most of us having a shed load of credits , the prizes are optional but feel free to post your times and pics to the thread . You can have 50M if you beat the target time and / or a car of your choice tuned by me . Theres no paint for the car , just use your own , but the tune to use is free on my SF now named Kaka . If your looking a prize , post the replay on your SF and name it Kaka please . I will offer a free tuned car to my fav pic too btw .
Kaka getting pretty deep around here First Cfunk’s Challenge - now you dump a Ka on us too I’m in Thanks for firing up another Challenge - although I was a wee bit fraid- thought for sure you were going to give another R3 Challenge E class - now I can handle that
Threw on a paint by DesigningLeek (available at his storefront ;] ) and put down a time of 1:26.478 - new PB - will try to improve - not sure by how much though - need to get my first turn and the ‘roundy bout the rock’ turn down tad better I guess. Great little car, voldemortt ;]
After quite a few tries, I finally beat the Target time with a 1:25.555 on lap #6. I uploaded the replay on my Storefront.
It looks like the numbers 5’s are a winner.
The tune is great. I didn’t think I could beat the target with my MS Racing Wheel.
@ Cfunk , thanx for the feedback on the tune , i always try and aim to get as stable a platform as possible , max performance is top of the agenda next ! .
Thanx for taking the time guys . Jive , you can make a bit of time up by getting a good run out of the haiŕpin bend , its flst out from there to the finish line .
I find the very first corner is a killer, get that right and a great run down the back until the hairpin, which I either go too wide on or too tight also the little chicane, you really do need to get that line right otherwise … dirty lap … arrrrgg
Try watching the replays the other guys post to get a sense of breaking positions . I myself , i break as late as possible and turn in to the apex from where the msin straight connects with the LH turn ( where the cones are ) .
Just re-read my last reply and that sounded really sarcastic and wasn’t meant in that way.
I’ve watched the replays, with the telemetry on, something weird in my driving, the left hand sweeping corner before “big rock hairpin” - some people are taking that flat out with minimal braking before, when I try that I just slide off, the same with “big rock” turn, people just driving straight round flat out with so little braking but when I try that, just slide off … I’m baffled to say the least. I’ve run about another 20 laps and even with rewind on, can’t improve my time
I got the tune which drives great, painted me a Ka red with racing stripes because racing stripes are supposed to make you go faster I think The stripes didn’t help, my best time was 1:35.061 saves replay in my store. I tried to post pictures but my gallery is full and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to delete pictures in your gallery, if anyone knows i would appreciate the input.
