I thought the last challenge was a bit sedate , so i decided to use one of the cars i used in Kools HP Challenge for the next one . After a wee bit adjustment i got the McLaren where i wanted it to be . I wanted this challenge to be a lot more of a "challenge " , so i reckoned why not run a very fast car on a very twisty track !!! . And thats what ive achieved . For this challenge , the car , as previously mentioned , the McLaren MP4 12C , the track , Fuji A Reverse , the time to beat is 1:57:217 , just inside the top 400 . The paint and tune to be used for the challenge are on my SF now , free of charege as per usual .I have uploaded a replay of the time to beat for those who wanna check it out . I know this time is beatable , i had a dirty 1:56:400 whilst setting a target time , so there is still plenty left on the track for the car to pick up time on . Here are a few picks of the car to be used

The car is very grippy from the get go , so dont be afraid to attack the first corner . As i said b4 , its target time was just inside the top 400 , of 166,000 if i rem rightly . Im expecting some great times from the faster drivers , will be interesting how high up the LB the car can get .

Usual rules apply , clean laps only , tune and paint must be used for credits to be paid out at end of challenge .

NOTE : IF YOU DONT WANT ANY PRIZE CREDITS , DONT USE THE PAINT PROVIDED

This will give me a better idea of how many people will be looking paid out at the end of the challenge .

Replays must be uploaded to SF for verification ofset time purposes . PLEASE name replays " Zoom "
I will run a pic comp too , please use the paint provided for this comp .

Prizes are as follows

30 M for beating my time . I will throw in another 15 M if you beat my dirty time of 1:56:400

1st Pic 30M
2nd Pic 15M
3rd Pic 10M

The challenge will run from now until midnight Friday 16th October

Pretty sure those are the payouts for 1st 2nd & 3rd place in the photo comp
Submit any pics from ur replay using his paint design.
From all pics submitted V will pick 3 winners > 1st 2nd & 3rd

Yip , as Hotlz said , post a pic of the car with the paint job on it from your replay and i will chose the best 3 and award the prize credits mentioned above in OP

ran a 2.02 so far … not done running yet … got a 1.59 but unfortunately tagged the guard rail coming through the last s curve … still much better than my previous time in the lambo

Thanks voldemortt… but… and that was probably only the Frikki in Trikki talking… beating your Scooby was the next level challenge…
So here it is… my updated time – 1:54.146
But honoustly… creds too you for tuning the little beasty… once I got used to it, it became a sweet little puppy ;-D

Thanks, voldemortt ;] I may have a few more runs at it, but am positive I will never find 5 seconds left somewhere on the run, for me anyway ;]

I’m with ya lol … V slaughters me on these things especially the faster the car gets and the more turns the track has :slight_smile: but I have noticed my times across the tracks are very close with your’s Kool as in a tenth one way or the other … so you have a shadow runner drafting with ya haha

@V … I am going to try this weekend to at least get that under 2 minutes where I tagged the wall on my only lucky run I had going :slight_smile:

@ Kool & Draggin , i know quite a bit of time can be made / lost at the last two corners I didnt get the best run through them when setting the 1:57 . Perhaps you can make some time there .

I spent an AWFUL amount of time learning the P2P tracks when i was going through the R2 class leaderboard . Learning when to brake and when to use throttle control . It seems these two courses ( Fuji and The Ring ) is where i can get a time in or near top 500’s . I even took 7tenth’s off my previous PB on the first P2P @ The Ring with this tune . I tried a few of the other P2P’s but my Scooby’s time was way out of reach for me in the the McLaren

I have a tendency to brake way too early … I lose a lot of time just in braking but the tune jumped my time up quite a bit already … a lot of tracks I just ran to complete every class on every track in the game … some I made it back to many I have not so these challenges are a good thing :wink: plus getting to run good tunes is an added bonus

TIME UPDATE

1.58.635 put the replay up and a photo on my store I have tried to get them on here in threads before and it just doesn’t happen lol but I did put one up … PB at 529

I am getting there … losing a lot of time in a few spots but turned a 1.57.615 but dirtied the lap just before the last two turns grrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol slid right into the outside wall
