I can’t be the only one that’s kind of baffled they haven’t actually implemented triple screen support, right? FM4 literally supported it on the 360, albeit you needed at least three consoles. I play in a home-made rig, and it’s ok just running at superwide 5840x1080 res, but a true triple monitor implementation is leagues, I mean LEAGUES more useful and enjoyable. Forza will only let you stretch the FOV across one massive screen. The correct way to do it is to render three separate points of view so that you don’t have extreme distortion in the outer screens.
The list of games that would benefit from a proper triple screen setup is very small, but the games that would benefit are nearly transformed when they support it. I’ve been sitting here waiting since FM6 on PC, just sort of assuming they’d actually implement it at some point, but no luck.
Updated: You can play multi-monitor all the way up through Forza Motorsport 4, using Xbox 360’s. The last game that supported LAN multiplayer was Forza Motorsport 2 but it seems that
feature isn’t necessary for multi-monitor support, which my original reply implied.
For Horizon games, to keep us on topic, I don’t believe any were supported (just like you couldn’t adjust your seating position/FOV in the Horizon games but could in the Motorsports games)…but of course with Horizon 3 and 4 on the PC, you can certainly change the FOV (to a certain degree) and then play across 3 monitors (as a single widescreen) but as the posters above suggested, the side monitors will not be perspective corrected and may force the HUD elements into places where they are not useful (?).
